It can be the thing that supports you in the first steps of creating change. Self-awareness is the ability to see yourself clearly and objectively through reflection and introspection. If you're highly self-aware, you can objectively evaluate yourself, manage your emotions, align your behavior with your values, and understand correctly how others perceive you. Those who are highly self-aware can interpret their actions, feelings, and thoughts...

In this episode I am sharing thoughts on the moments in life that define you and a different spin on these moments. In today’s episode we discuss: 1) The typical moments include graduation, your first house or apartment, falling in love and getting married, seeing loved ones pass, fighting illnesses, memorable trips, finding success, or experiencing failure. What it’s more about is how you show up in these moments, how you handle them not working or how you work through adversity. 2) I recently interviewed a mom who lost her 21 year old son, she is currently writing a book on...

Join the Patreon Community today! In this episode I am sharing some thoughts on the in-between, the time in between where we are today and where we think we are supposed to be. In today’s episode we discuss: 1) The in-between is the most uncomfortable time, where we aren’t where we want to be yet, and we equate that to doing something wrong, not enough, or that we are on the wrong path. There is power in the pause and this is the in-between space. We are not yet who we want to be and have to grow into the version of the person who can hold and handle the next level of...

In this episode I am sharing my own answer to the last question I ask every single guest, yet I don’t know if I have fully answered it myself. In today’s episode we discuss: 1) Where these questions originated from and why I wanted to include it at the end of each interview. 2) That no matter how isolated I feel in my situation or in my story, I am not alone. The only reason I feel alone is that I am making it about myself and I am not being open and vulnerable and those are strengths that I have cultivated over the years. Also what goes with this is when I feel alone I...

JOIN US IN PATREON In this episode I am sharing some thoughts on how my own personal story has evolved, what I have learned in this process and some of the key areas I am committed to doing the work. In today’s episode we discuss: 1) Where it started 10+ years ago, and I am sharing what it felt like in those early days. 2) Some of the key turning points, the courage, the unknown, and the doors that opened up for me which felt like out of nowhere. The tickets to events gifted by strangers, the willingness to play full out, and how it was actually the discomfort that nudged me...

In this episode I am sharing some thoughts on the progress you can’t see, and how often we judge ourselves for the progress that we can’t see and then assume that nothing is happening. When you start judging yourself for the progress and then equating that to your value it will stop you faster than you realize. In today’s episode we discuss: 1) You can have full certainty in your vision, and not have certainty in the path or how you will get there. There’s a million ways to get there so how can you stay more open in all of the possible ways to get there? 2) Think of a...

In this episode we are speaking with Author & former Corporate Spy, Robert Kerbeck’s. Robert’s true crime memoir, RUSE: Lying the American Dream from Hollywood to Wall Street is the story of how a wannabe actor became the world’s greatest corporate spy. Frank Abagnale, author of Catch Me If You Can, said, “Kerbeck has mastered the art of social engineering, or what he calls 'rusing', and taken it to a whole new level,” while Shondaland (the producer of the Netflix series Inventing Anna) described RUSE as "a story almost too good to be true with no shortage of wild stories.”...

In this episode I am sharing my thoughts on a quote I heard Lori Harder say on a podcast. It stopped me in my tracks and I knew it was something I wanted to share more thoughts on. “If you bring forth what is within you, what is within you will save you. If you don’t bring forth what is within you, what is within you will consume you.” ~Lori Harder In today’s episode we discuss: 1) Ask yourself, what is consuming you? What is it that you are holding onto, overthinking and not bringing into the world that is consuming you? You know the thing that you are...
info_outlineIn this episode, I am sharing some after watching a movie called True Spirit. True Spirit is the true story of Jessica Watson, the 16 year old who set sail on a 10-metre vessel, a sailboat, on October 18th, 2009 and returned May 15th, 2010. She sailed approximately 18, 582 nautical miles, crossing through the Pacific, Atlantic and Indian oceans all on her own without stopping. I loved this movie and I had some big takeaways that I wanted to share with you.
In today’s episode we discuss:
1) When she decided to go on this journey, her family believed in her, yet very few people believed she could do it and a lot of people were planning on her failing, media, the government wanted to stop her mission, and it wasn’t until she started to live out her vision, she did a video blog of it, and it became real that others started to get on board and support her. I think she had >80, 000 people meeting her at the harbour when she came back to port.
2) Imagine 7 months completely on your own, all food, resources mapped out ahead of time, and fighting mother nature in a sailboat? Without giving any of the movie away, there were moments where she had no wind, and no movement and those moments became the defining moments. This is so parallel to our lives.
3) It’s the times when things aren’t working out, going as planned, that challenge our identity, our belief in ourselves and those moments forge who we are, and what we believe to be true.
