1) Every single thing has a price, a dollar value or a time value which is still a dollar value. Look at what your time is worth. Fear is temporary, regret is forever. People are quicker to take steps to cope with failures to live up to their capabilities and potential.
2) Using evidence, what is a message you can give yourself for a time in your life when you didn’t think you’d make it through but you did. I was asked this question and the first thing that came up was, “I look back at my younger self, 8 years ago, afraid to show up and use her voice, and I thank her for starting before she was ready and before she had the confidence to do so.” That state always reminds me that everything has a cost to it, and we get to decide the price of the regret.
