Own Your Choices Own Your Life

In this episode, we speak with Spiritual Life Coach Kristina Gauthier.  Kristina’s early years were far from picture-perfect; she was born into a family with a colossal amount of trauma on both her mother's and father’s sides. Throughout Kristina’s life, her late mother struggled with her drug addiction, and her dad is a well-known Hell Angel. 762 | Who Are You Going to Be Today? show art 762 | Who Are You Going to Be Today?

Own Your Choices Own Your Life

In today's episode, we dive deep into the question, "Who will you be today?" This episode was inspired by a journal prompt that made me pause and reflect on how we often focus on who we want to be when everything is going smoothly, but what about when things aren't going great? Who do you want to be when things are not going smoothly, when they are not in flow or alignment, and when it feels like it's challenge after challenge?  I've learned to navigate those moments by asking myself who I want to be in those difficult times. It's about shifting our perspective from blaming others or...

I share a personal story about my recent trip to Finland, where my husband competed in the World Olympic Lifting Championships and earned a silver medal. This experience was...

Own Your Choices Own Your Life

Welcome back to the show! In this episode, we delved deep into the topic of shame and its profound impact on our growth in life and business. We explored how shame, often overlooked and suppressed, can manifest as a gremlin within us, affecting our self-perception and identity. Shame, distinguished from guilt, is centred on the belief that "I am bad" rather than "I did something bad." This distinction is crucial as attaching "I am" to negative beliefs can lead to a deep-rooted sense of unworthiness and flaw within ourselves. We discussed how shame thrives on secrecy, silence, and judgment,...

More Episodes

In this episode, I am sharing a perspective and insight on the power of shame and how it is blocking us from being seen authentically.  Releasing shame is one of the first steps to starting to share your story and this is the first step we will be moving through with the authors in the Write Your Damn Book Mastermind.

In today’s episode, we discuss:

1)  Shame can only be released by giving yourself some grace. Sometimes we have shame and we don’t even know what they are, it’s not our shame to carry it but we do, we pile it on. They’re not our bags, and this shame is stored in our body and in our emotions and will show up, and block you until you can release it.

2) Shame, body, heart, grace, when you feel awkward, that is a shame being activated.  When we see someone expressing themselves, we feel awkward and disconnected because the part inside of us wants to be seen and not hold that anymore.  Shame gives you the signal that it is not safe to be you. The fascia has no linearity of time, it doesn’t care about the past or future, our fascia remembers as it happened one second ago, it is connected to our self-protection.  Our subconscious mind is our body and that is where we store 95+% of our thoughts, beliefs, emotions, decisions, and self-doubt.  Your fascia believes it is in the same moment that it was 40-50 years ago. It jumps into self-protection, fascia is always protecting you from the environment.

3) Shame is everything, it is an iron blanket on our shoulders, and it weighs us down and holds us back from our authentic expression.  When you say “I am me” your body relaxes and allows, and you being you shift mountains.  People will feel you because you can’t be wrong being you.
