In this episode, I am sharing the message of being "cracked open" by life's challenges and how these moments can lead to personal growth and clarity. I begin by sharing a powerful quote from Rebecca Campbell's book, "Light is the New Black," which emphasizes the importance of embracing the things that break us down, as they ultimately allow the light to shine through. This is a personal episode as I share the story of my husband, Brad, a Master’s Olympic lifter, who faced a serious injury during a competition. As he set national records, he suffered a painful elbow injury that required...

In this episode, I share my thoughts on the concept of readiness and how it is a lie. I challenge the notion that we must feel 100% ready before starting new ventures. Drawing from personal experiences, I emphasize that readiness often results from taking the leap, not a prerequisite. I encourage listeners to reflect on their own lives and consider times when they felt prepared entirely—chances are, those moments are few and far between. I also touch on the significance of identity work, urging listeners to envision the person they aspire to be and to act as if they are already that...

Through her skincare brand, The Detour Co, Rebecca reminds...

In this episode, I highlight the importance of awareness in recognizing these limiting beliefs. I discuss how our subconscious can drive us back to familiar patterns, often leading to self-sabotage. I encourage listeners to confront these thoughts and reframe them, asking themselves whether they are valid. Doing so can interrupt the negative loops that keep us from reaching our full potential. Things can become easier, but they never truly become easy. As we grow, we often confront subconscious beliefs that can hinder our progress. I candidly share my experiences of feeling nervous and...

In this episode, I explore how we can shift our mindset from feeling like an imposter to embracing our authority. I start by posing a thought-provoking question: How would you like to perceive imposter syndrome differently? I emphasize that authority doesn't have to be a triggering term; it can simply mean owning your life and your message. Throughout the episode, I discuss the common reasons behind imposter syndrome, such as caring deeply about our work and comparing ourselves to others who seem more experienced. I highlight the importance of recognizing that we often compare our beginning to...

In this episode, I dive into how big you allow yourself to dream. Where do you see yourself in two to three years? In this episode, I share some stats about the sheer volume of daily thoughts—between 60,000 and 80,000, with a staggering 80-90% being repetitive and predominantly negative. This repetition can create thick neural pathways in our brains, reinforcing doubts, fears and limiting beliefs. I use a vivid analogy comparing our thoughts to a hairdryer cord, illustrating how negative thoughts can become strong and durable while positive thoughts often remain fragile and underdeveloped. Throughout the episode, I encourage listeners to recognize the power of their language and internal dialogue. I...

info_outlineIn this episode I am sharing some thoughts on self-confidence, are you growing it or squashing it, and what self-confidence actually means. Self-confidence is a feeling of trust in one's abilities, qualities, and judgment. Self-confidence is an attitude about your skills and abilities. It means you accept and trust yourself and have a sense of control in your life. You know your strengths and weaknesses well and have a positive view of yourself. You set realistic expectations and goals, communicate assertively, and can handle criticism. The challenge is that your external results will NEVER exceed your internal identity, what you believe you are worth, or what you deserve.
In today’s episode, we discuss:
1) Confidence is believing in yourself, feeling comfortable in your true self, knowing you have worth. If you are confident, people believe you, confidence is attractive, brings success, helps to connect well with others and you generally feel happier.
2) This can start simply by creating promises with yourself and following through with them consistently, from the workout, water, food, screen time, rest, honouring your needs, and the standards you have set for yourself. The higher the standard, the deeper the self-confidence goes, always challenge yourself to do one more rep!
3) Doorway trigger, say a sentence that leads to confidence when you enter a room, you are shifting your internal energy and what you are looking for and expecting to find. It’s also important to look at the root of why there is a lack of self-confidence, through TIME techniques, NLP tools and subconscious reprogramming you can get to the root of the issue.
