Highly regarded as one of the world's premiere cajón players (a Peruvian percussion instrument), she designed her own signature instrument called The MT Box, distributed by Latin Percussion.
Mona believes music can inspire and connect people to a larger purpose, and empowers girls to find their rock as a co-founder of the non profit Rock n’ Roll Camp for Girls Los Angeles.
Mona has been featured in DRUM!, Tom Tom Magazine, judged and hosted the Hit Like A Girl drum contest and awards show and is the recipient of the 2016 She Rocks awards “Inspire Award” for her work with the Rock n’ Roll Camp for Girls.
