A: Hey Joe! Written by Billy Roberts in 1962 and Jimi had a hit with it in 1967.

October 23, 1966 - The Jimi Hendrix: Experience records its first two songs, "Hey Joe" and "Stone Free" at London’s De Lane Lea Studios.

December 16, 1966 - The Jimi Hendrix Experience release "Hey Joe" in England. By February 1967, it reached Number Four on the British charts. The next single, "Purple Haze," reached Number Three. The group’s debut album, Are You Experienced?, remained near the top of the charts through the summer of 1967.
