We unpack how Satan pulls us into doubt and self-reliance, why apart from Christ we can do nothing, and how getting ahead of God often leads to a harder fall later. In this week's conversation, we’re talking about the simple joys of everyday life and the beauty of true discipleship. When someone comes to know the Lord, what happens next? Who is coming alongside them as they begin to grow? And are we growing in God’s Word so we can pour into the people around us? We also chat about accountability: what it is, what it isn’t, and why real accountability isn’t about policing behavior but holding someone’s heart with care and honesty.  Plus, we share our November memory verse: Philippians 4:8. More Episodes

This week’s conversation begins with our usual fun, lighthearted rambling as we get caught up on all kinds of things, but then becomes more serious as Fran elaborates on a Facebook post she wrote several weeks ago about a scary situation in our hometown.  Fran shares how jail ministry gave her new perspective as the Lord continues to teach us so much about this world and all the people in it.

We hope this conversation causes each of us to consider who we are, what we believe, and what we hope for those desperately in need of Jesus.  Every single one of us is broken.  We all sin.  Our sins aren’t the same, but sin is sin.  Good works can’t save us.  Religion can’t save us.  Only Jesus saves. The cross is proof that our greatest need has already been met in Jesus. “We’ve all wandered off, but the Good Shepherd came looking for us.” Isaiah 53:6.

“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23

“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 6:23

“Jesus answered, ‘I am the way and the truth and the life.  No one comes to the Father except through Me.’” John 14:6

“But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son, that whosoever believes in him will not perish, but will have everlasting life.” John 3:16

If you don't have a personal relationship with Jesus and have questions or want to talk further about any of this, please reach out!  We love y'all and always love hearing from you.
