The story we create for ourselves through the lens of the conditioned mind.
From birth we are programmed by our parents, societal, cultural programs, the construct of our reality.
Our lives are dictated by the narrative we construct in our conditioned mind.
This narrative is the self- concept we carry as our reality as we go on through life, further conditioned to those early briefs we attached to.
We often go on reinforcing and confirming those beliefs in order to belong in society.
Unfortunately many of these self beliefs are self limiting and born from a desire to belong but are anchored in a lack of self worth.
So we navigate through life looking for that external validation and approval we may not have learned in our formative years.
In essence, we go through our adult lives with a self-construct that has been distorted by the consensus conditioning of society.
To stray form the norm is often seen as being outsider, or alternative and so society quickly judges and criticises this in order for its own survival.
So much of our conditioning is based in competitiveness, division and lack.
We all carry deep within us a story moulded and shaped in order to survive in a complex world which continually tells us a story that is often not questioned.
Which leads the spiritual seeker on a quest through deep self inquiry to know themselves perhaps for the first time who they really are beyond the constraints of society.
Often this is seen as the hero journey, the dark night of the soul or merely the souls desire to know itself beyond the conditioned mind.
This can be a process of un-condioning, un-programming a distillation and refinement process whereby we de-tach and let go of outdated beliefs and ways of thinking.
This of course is a scary place for the ego identity which relies on the story it created in order to feel safe and a part of the world.
This inner work requires effort and diligence to gain an awareness of the deeper layers of consciousness within us, that have been unconscious and move towards an integration of the total self.
As Carl Jung said - to make conscious that which is unconscious - we realise how much of our lives are dictated by unconscious patterns and the recycling of conditiond mind beliefs.
The ultimate path to freedom is to transcend the conditioned mind to our true nature of the eternal self, our soul, our divine nature.
Our fundamental nature lies beyond the conditioned mind which cannot fathom or comprehend our infinite nature our timeless essence.
5 Questions with digitaldeepak.aI
I would like to further explore the idea that true freedom is beyond the conditioned mind. As our perception of reality is governed primarily by the thoughts we create and beliefs we have been programmed with, to transcend the conditioned mind would grant us access to our true nature and ultimately the fundamental nature of reality.
True freedom indeed transcends the conditioned mind. Our minds, shaped by language, culture, and history, limit our perception of reality. To reach beyond, we must transform our minds from their old conditioning. This process, akin to separating water from milk, allows us to access our true nature and the fundamental nature of reality.
What are some practical ways one on a spiritual journey can transcend the conditioned mind, and transform ourselves from our old conditioning?
Practical ways to transcend the conditioned mind include setting personal goals to explore alternatives to conditioned thinking. Embrace meditation to loosen habits and conditioning, and welcome change instead of resisting it. See experiences as self-reflections and take regular 'in time' and 'down time'. The essence of transformation is allowing the light to do the work, aiming for revelations and insights.
Do you see the influence of social media as further conditioning our minds as a distraction from knowing our true nature?
Yes, social media can condition our minds, often distracting us from our true nature. It reflects our level of awareness and can both benefit and harm us. However, it's crucial to remember that we have the opportunity to free ourselves by undoing our own conditioning.
What would you consider to be the greatest challenge facing humanity to transcend our current level of collective conditioning that the majority of people are influenced by especially through all media channels?
The greatest challenge is our underdeveloped collective consciousness. It's reflected in unsustainable practices and problems like environmental degradation. These issues stem from policies and practices rooted in greed and unconscious behavior. Transcending this requires an evolution of human consciousness, moving away from pseudo-Gods and towards unity among an awakened humanity.
Finally, what would you consider to be the biggest trauma humanity on a collective level is facing and needs to heal, transcend and integrate to create a more awakened and unified planet?
The biggest trauma humanity faces is a lack of compassion and a devaluation of our interdependence with nature. To heal, we must awaken our collective consciousness and apply that wisdom towards practical solutions. This is a collective consciousness problem and requires an awakening of collective consciousness to solve it.
