TJ Jones

Six deployments. SIX ! He served our country bravely. He returned from war – he suffered from severe PTSD. He was in the middle of a flashback and thought he was being attacked by the Iraqi Guard. He was waving a gun but shot or hurt no one. He was shot and killed by the police. This is tragically referred to as “suicide by cop.” His family seeks to raise awareness of combat PTSD and the importance of police and other agencies being trained to respond to combat veterans in these situations. (a summary of what his sister has shared).
He was a beloved father, husband, brother and son.
