Facing Challenges

In 2008 Sue experienced a very difficult time both professionally and personally where she was going through a divorce, her house was in foreclosure, and her two businesses were struggling. Unfortunately, her struggles continued when she lost both of her parents and her brother in the years following. She explained how a friend’s words, “I suggest you get about getting back on your horse” could have been perceived as unkind, aided her in pushing forward and bouncing back from the challenging cycle she was in. 

Alignment vs Agreement

Sue explains that the first step to having better control over your business is to align with your team. There is more power in moving from being a team of leaders to becoming a leadership team. Alignment is not the same as agreement. Sue shares why you need to leverage the best of each leader and allow them to contribute their maximum value. Allow each leader in your business to take complete ownership of their role and duties, while you do the same in your role
