Did the Minnesota Vikings find a way to solve the NFL's Jaxon Smith-Njigba problem? Or were there a combination of factors that simply kept the ball from going JSN's way. We talk about some of the strategies Minnesota used -- from pressuring Sam to their use of linebacker and safety to send some extra attention toward the NFL's leading receiver. Ernest Jones earned NFL honors for his game on Saturday, but DeMarcus Lawrence should have been in consideration for two of the biggest plays of the game. The Atlanta Falcons are on deck for Seattle and may be the last "easy" game on the schedule. But...

Max Brosmer never stood a chance. The Seattle Seahawks dominated in a 26-0 shutout victory over the Minnesota Vikings. We dive into the incredible defensive performance, highlighting standout plays from DeMarcus Lawrence, Ernest Jones, and a defensive line that overwhelmed Minnesota's offense. Offensively, the Seahawks did enough to complement the defense, with Kenneth Walker and Zach Charbonnet grinding out yards against an aggressive Vikings front. While not impressive, Sam Darnold put together the kind of performance we wished we could have seen against the Rams a couple weeks ago. The...

The Seahawks coasted to victory over the Tennessee Titans in Nashville, getting the 30-24 win off another standout performance by Jaxon Smith-Njigba. With six games remaining in the season, JSN has already set a franchise record with 1,313 receiving yards. His two touchdowns helped keep Seattle out ahead of the Titans and in control of the game all afternoon. Ken Walker provided another significant contribution with more than 100 yards of offense and some explosive plays in both the passing and run game. The defense tallied four sacks as Cam Ward was under significant pressure and they managed...

Wasting no time with offseason drama from the Seahawks this offseason, news came out on the day of the Super Bowl that teams were making calls to Seattle about their interest in Russell Wilson. Though the news expressly came along with the disclaimer that the Seahawks, of course, weren't interested. Yet, by Wednesday, there were sports betting sites laying odds as to which team Wilson would be going to next.

So where did this come from? We pull the quotes from former Seahawks receiver Brandon Marshall and Russell Wilson's quotes from the Dan Patrick Show that seemed to generate most of this discussion. Interestingly enough, nowhere in those discussions were any kind of hints that Wilson is demanding to be traded or suggesting that he's unhappy with the team. Instead, he's clearly focused on what Seattle needs to do this offseason to improve - acquiring talent to put together an offensive line that can protect their star quarterback.

Considering what we all witnessed in Super Bowl 55, that should be the goal for every team in the NFL. Because we saw the league MVP from 2018 and the league MVP from 2020 both struggle against the Tampa Bay Bucs defensive front. Russell Wilson is focused on the right priority and the Seahawks front office should have that same focus as well!

We also discuss the Matt Stafford trade to the Los Angeles Rams and what it means for the division. Adam brings a historical perspective at quality quarterbacks who have made mid- or late-career moves. Plus, we take another shot at nicknaming the new offensive coordinator and the results from an in-depth data analysis on some important career tendencies.

We're running a promotion for those who want to help the show and get a little something extra. Those who sign up for annual support at getintheflock.com can get stickers at $1 per month annually. A podcast patch at $3 per month annually and a pair of logo stainless steel pint glass for anyone above $5 who moves to an annual subscription. Plus, we're not running the "uncatfished" version of the show in the Patreon feed for those who have been asking for that.

Do better call outs this week go to Adam's truck for continuing to find ways to uniquely break down, and how people need to learn how to ask Kam Chancellor the correct questions when they see him in person. Better at life honors go to the NFL's Man of the Year and to the crew at the Around the NFL podcast for blowing off Super Bowl coverage to honor one of their former co-hosts.
