Chubb launches terrorism risk service for multinational businesses

Chubb has announced the launch of a new service for multinational companies and large middle-market businesses. Chubb’s new Terrorism Risk Evaluation Services combines the company’s terrorism and political violence (PV) underwriting, risk engineering, global security, catastrophe modeling, and digital expertise. 

Terrorism Risk Evaluation Services was developed after Chubb received feedback from corporate customers who wanted to better understand terrorism and PV exposures, the company said. Through the offering, Chubb aligns its expertise and data across a series of specialist areas.

GM Sales from Q1 to Q3 2018 compared to 2017

With GM closing a number of plants and killing off some of its vehicles as it restructures, Autoblog got curious about the sales figures for various models across its brands. Autoblog went to sales tracking website GoodCarBadCar and compiled GM vehicle sales figures in the US for Q1 through Q3 2018

There are 37 vehicles in total. I’ll mention a few of the more often used secure transportation vehicles

  • Ranked 9th in sales with close to 80,000, the Chevrolet Tahoe is up 15% compared to 2017.
  • Ranked 12 in sales with roughly 63,000, the GMC Acadia is down over 23% compared to 2017.
  • Ranked 13th in sales with 49,000, the GMC Yukon is up close to 55% compared to 2017 numbers.
  • Ranked 17th in sales with over 40,000, the Chevrolet Suburban is up 4% from 2017 numbers.
  • And ranked 20th in sales with 26,000, the Cadillac Escalade is 67% compared to 2017.

Taxpayers face a 6.3 million dollar security bill when Harry and Meghan move into their new cottage due to its 'exposed' location in Windsor Castle's grounds

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are renovating 19th-century Frogmore Cottage before moving there from Kensington Palace in the spring.

Plans will already be being formulated about how to secure the cottage grounds, which in places are only separated from public roads by a six-foot wall.

Former royal protection officer Ken Wharfe told The Mirror: 'The costs of building and security arrangements could balloon to $6.3 million in the first year.

FBI dismantles gigantic ad fraud scheme operating across over one million IPs

The FBI, Google, and 20 tech industry partners have collaborated to take down a giant cyber-criminal network involved in generating fake ad views and clicks that have been used to defraud ad networks and advertisers for the past four years and make millions in illicit revenue for the scheme's perpetrators.

Besides a coordinated intervention to take down several of the criminal scheme's botnets, the US Department of Justice also announced a 13-count indictment against eight suspects believed to be behind this operation, three of whom are already under arrest and awaiting extradition to the US.
