Type Eight- 9:20-12:40
- “It is important that you do what an 8 already likes.” Stick to the list
- They want to be asked what they want
- They enjoy an intense and are high capacity people so any gift that speaks to that is perfect.
A Gift says, ‘this is how I perceive you.” -10:50
Type Nine- 12:41-15:45
- They want a lot of things but they often feel guilty asking for their wants.
- If you don’t know specifics, gift things that create harmony/peace/comfort or something that resists what disturbs them.
- They are past focused so gift with that in mind.
“If I don’t know why you got this for me than it is just a thing… It matters so much to have words that go with [the gift] to say, I was thinking of you.” The power of intent 16:30
Type One- 17:28- 19:35
- One’s struggle with knowing what they want and may not even put together a list because it is a lot of work to list the perfect gifts
- One’s are black and white thinkers- and many gifts they selected are literally black and white
- Things that help them organize and provide order
- Things that are helpful in the present
Type Two- 19:36-22:35
- Flip the script on them to find out what they actually need
- Often times a two will do for others what they actually desire to have done for them.
- Present oriented- things that help them stay in the moment
- Give them a coupon book and hold them accountable to actually cash them in.
Type Three -22:36-27:45
- Have a hard time being certain what they want because they often pick up so many hobbies or try to like what they giver likes
- Gifts that are goal oriented. Because they love goals but have a hard time actually planning the realization of them
- Image focused things- gifts that help a three see themselves the way we see them
Type Four- 27:55- 31:00
- It is super helpful to know what really interests them. What are their little quirks?
- They like to be unique, not just for the sake of being unique, but while being understood
- Ambiance, the way the create their space is important to them.
- Past oriented- giving things to bring to mind what they felt in good moments from the past
Type Five- 31:01-33:40
- They often ask for the same things every year because they have very specific desires.
- Gather information and knowledge- give gifts to help that
- Gifts that help bring order into their world and to create a safe space to grow their knowledge
- They need to recharge often so it is important that they have all they feel like they need for their space
Type Six- 33:41- 37:25
- They want a gift that will help them feel more secure and will communicate loyalty and love from the giver
- Present focused- care a lot about their current relationship and the people around them
- Things that show that they are loved for who they are
- Things that help them to be prepared and help them follow the rules
Type Seven- 37:26-40:35
- Probably the least specific of all the types but they do have opinions
- Give them the gift that you are most excited to give them- they want to share the excited energy behind the gift.
- They crave experiences so gift either experiences or things to aid them in future experiences.
- Being future oriented, give gifts that help them linger in the experiences they’ve been blessed with, to help them stay content.
When you celebrate people for who they are, it gives them freedom to change and be who God created them to be.- 42:25
