Drones Reveal Largest Turtle Nesting Site Hidden in the Amazon - Using drone aerial imaging and advanced statistical modeling, University of Florida researchers identified the world’s largest known nesting site for a threatened turtle species—over 41,000 Giant South American River Turtles along the Guaporé River in the Amazon.
