🌱 The Origin Story

The original idea for Camp Soul came from one of my beautiful students, Darlene. She had a vision for an adult camp, and to be totally honest—I thought it was cute, but I didn’t feel the zing. It didn’t immediately hit me as something I needed to lead or create.

But then… everything changed.

She found this venue in Illinois and invited Kyle and me to check it out. At the time, we were going through it. We were stressed, bickering, pushing through the final stages of moving into our house. The timing was terrible. But I trusted Darlene and convinced Kyle to come.

The moment we pulled in—pine trees towering, a red-tailed hawk swooping across the road, and that big camp sign arching overhead—I felt it. The place had soul. It was covered in tie-dye vans, obstacle courses, yurts, lakes, archery ranges, a food hall straight out of my '90s childhood. We got out of the car, and both Kyle and I were completely transformed. It was like our inner children came alive again.

That night around the fire (well, a cold, wet attempt at one 😅), I knew—we had to do this. This wasn’t just an idea anymore. It was a calling.

💡 Strategic Launch & Marketing

As soon as we got home from the venue, I dropped a story on Instagram—no sales page, no funnel, just raw excitement—and registrations started popping like popcorn. It was wild.

• I offered it at just $500 to start (now rising to $777), fully inclusive.

• I set it up with a $108 deposit, with auto-billing for the rest three months later.

• I literally built the sales page after people started signing up.

The momentum was pure alignment + energy.
