Here is another post-school-year encore show from 2024. It’s from March of that year, so the current events round is from that time, too. Why does it seem so long ago? Anyway, it’s a couple of great teams. One is from Brookside High School in Sheffield Village, Ohio, and the other is from Firelands High School in Oberlin. Both schools have consistently made our playoffs in past years.

The teams are excellent ones though, from Keystone High in LaGrange, Ohio, and from Medina County’s Black River High School (a district that includes part of Lorain county. The school district in the city of Elyria, Ohio, was honored recently by special recognition from Governor Mike DeWine for the excellence of its reading program in the primary grades. Describing the innovative program is the Assistant Superintendent of Elyria Schools, Natalie Matthews.
