Both schools have produced champions in the past, but the unique thing about these teams is that each one contains not one but two previous winners of our program’s “Standout Scholar Award.” If you are just discovering the series, “Scholastic Games,” is our weekly high school quiz program featuring the schools of Lorain County, Ohio. It is produced from January through May of each year. These rebroadcasts from 2024 are the first time they are offered as podcasts.
The teams going for the championship are from Marion L. Steele High School in Amherst, Ohio, and from Avon Lake High School, both schools in some of the fastest growing communities in Lorain County. Our programs are produced during the second half of the school year and when the 2025 programs are presented for the second time beginning on September 29th, you can check out a rematch between these same two schools (minus seniors who graduated in 2024) on the fourth program to be released after 5pm on October 20th.
