Steelers Outpost Podcast
The Steelers pulled the cover off of the Mazerati to see if the engine would start. After a couple of sputtering attempts, it revved up with Ben Roethlisberger and the offensive starters methodically marching 58 yards down the field for the team's first touchdown, a 17 yard pass to JuJu Smith-Schuster. This feels real. Not like 8th grade with Bubba Kowalchik towered over the entire middle school at 5'6", only to stretch out to 5'8" by senior year. NO. This feels like.......destiny.

info_outlineSteelers Outpost at the Beach, featuring PButch
Ah...the glorious days of summer as the family converges on the beach for the annual vacation. It not only gives Nick and Tom a chance to do the show in the same place, but it presented us the opportunity to bring Nick's cousin, PButch, NFL aficianado and long-suffering Jets fan onto the show for the first time this year!
This is a relaxed, wide-ranging show, in which we cover:
- A Jets fan's perspective on Le'Veon Bell's arrival in NY. Do the Jets have the tools and talent to take full advantage of Le'Veon's capabilities?
- Ben Roethlisberger, at 501, is just 25 sacks away from breaking a record held by Brett Favre, for most sacks taken by a QB in league history. We place this "feat" into context, including recent trends and Big Ben's supporting cast over the years.
- We reprise and expand our discussion of the new pass interference review rule. What potential effects may it have, positive and negative?
- If you could change one of the current NFL rules, what is it and why would you change it?
This is a big show and we're hoping to continue the conversation with you.
