Today we have a great conversation with former Tackling Tomfoolery host and friend of the show AM Lewis about the different forms Black Love can take. As Malikka says in the episode, "every form of black love is a revolutionary act," so get ready.

While the ladies are still on hiatus, planning and plotting season 4, they wanted to take an hour or so to talk about how pro-black so often (as in almost always) seems to mean "pro-black man." As you might imagine, they have opinions on the subject, and they're not shy about sharing them.

Tackling Tomfoolery is a weekly podcast examining life in the modern world from the distinct perspective of brilliant black women. We are women on a mission to tear down the stereotypes, barriers, and nonsense that keep us all from being more engaged, and more productive people. #Womanism is the watch-word and we're Tackling Tomfoolery - one town at a time.

This week we're talking black accountability and call out culture. Should we read each other "in front of mixed company"? Does Blackness override decency/morality and everything else? With our guest this week, Julian Long.

Carl was born in Compton, California and came to Sacramento, California at age 11. The seventh of ten children, Owens is the father of a 12 year old girl he has primarily raised as a single parent. A 1997 alumni of Mira Loma High School, Owens prides himself as being the second of his father’s children to walk the stage. Carl is a lover of sports, whether he’s watching or playing. He works hard to keep the big picture as his focus, not just what’s in front of him. Owens is in his third year of working with medical gases for Linde and is engaged to a wonderful woman named Malikka Rogers. According to Carl, she’s pretty awesome.
