Conversation with Georgia State Rep. Mesha Mainor (GA-56) and her move to the GOP
Release Date: 09/03/2023
The Alan Sanders Show
Today’s bonus episode is my sit-down conversation with Mario Fratto who is running for U.S. Congress in New York’s 24th district. He is running against a well-financed incumbent, Rep. Claudia Tenney (R-NY). While Tenney is a member of the GOP, I’ve been watching how her prior stances and even voting record is being massaged of late, due to be challenged in 2024. I wanted to learn a little more about the candidate running against her in the upcoming primary to see if there is a better alternative for that district. Mario Fratto has a background in law, having been a practicing lawyer for...

Today’s show opens with another example of me never getting tired of being right. I suggested on yesterday’s show that Liz Magill, President of the University of Pennsylvania didn’t have a change of heart because she realized how wrong she was to not acknowledge calls for genocide against Jews was against their code of conduct. Instead, I stated that the only reason she was apologizing was due to one or more alums pulling their annual gifts to the college. My show wasn’t even 24 hours old when the word hit that $100 million was being pulled away from the college. It also looks like...

Today we basically hit three topics: more fallout from the college President’s who cannot explain how demanding genocide might run afoul of their harassment and bullying policies; Vivek Ramaswamy isn’t going to win the nomination, but he’s still the closest Constitutional candidate we have outside of Donald Trump; and, President Joe Biden just lied again about having no knowledge of Hunter’s business partners or business dealings. Before we discuss Liz Magill going from thinking she was so funny tap-dancing before Rep. Elise Stefanik, to then playing TAPS for what might be the end of...

Today’s show opens with a reminder of what the ideology of CRT and DEI was meant to correct in our past and that, by now, by no objective measure, can we say it’s working. In fact, I would argue we have made life worse, pitting more people against one another based on group identity, rather than embracing our uniqueness and individuality. To illustrate this, we analyze a 3 ½ minute exchange between Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY) and the president’s of MIT, the University of Pennsylvania and Harvard. The question is simple: Does calling for the genocide of Jews violate your university’s...

Today we open with FBI Director Christopher Wray and his testimony before the Senate. Before we get into that, we start with revelation from Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) that another FBI whistleblower stated that the FBI reached out to a priest and a choir director in an effort to recruit them as assets to spy on their congregations. We know of this instance and it makes me wonder how many others have been approached. Wray was asked, but he never answered that question. Senator Josh Hawley (R-MO) provided me with the perfect illustration over all that is wrong with our current Executive Branch of...

Today’s show opens with a continuation from last Friday regarding the work being done by the subcommittee, looking into the J6 Committee’s findings. It’s amazing to me that the original J6 folks were okay destroying all of their collected evidence and work product and think nothing of it. I am hoping to get the chair of that committee, Rep. Barry Loudermilk (R-GA) for a dedicated special interview before the end of the year. Next I address the dreadful silence from the #MeToo movement and the UN Women organization. I first start by reading some testimony from eye-witness accounts of...

On today’s show we open our Friday episode with Tara Bull’s Top 10 News stories the Legacy/mainstream media likely didn’t cover. It’s always fun to see how much we hit on this show in the past week versus what most people would know from traditional outlets. Next, we discuss a terrible trend in this country of acting the notion of someone is guilty until they prove themselves innocent. The Republican’s just aiding in voting out Rep. George Santos (R-NY) based solely on charges, but no actual conviction. I’m not here to defend Santos. What I am defending is the premise that I...

Today we focus almost entirely on the House Subcommittee Hearing on Government Weaponization, specifically looking at the Censorship Industrial Complex. Earlier this week, I broke down the first drop from Michael Shellenberger called The CTIL File #1. Today's hearing dove into the new findings of government imposed censorship and just how far-reaching and dangerous it has become. We open with the Chair of the Committee, Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) reminding us that the White House and the Executive Branch have not cooperated at all with their requests for information and depositions. They have...

Today's show opens with the briefings given by three House GOP committees --- The House Oversight Committee, the Ways and Means Committee and the Weaponization of Government Subcommittee. I give you a recap of what they have uncovered to-date and a reminder that members of the Biden Crime Family Syndicate are not going to have a Merry Christmas as dozens of them are going to be testifying before those committees in the coming weeks. Let me remind you, the current Senate Democrats lack the integrity and the moral standing to vote to remove Joe Biden from office. It does not matter how much...

Today we open with what filthy pieces of human debris many in the Leftist media truly are. The first story is from Deadspin where they manufactured a white-supremacist story around a child who wore his NFL team's colors at a game. Once again, the Left shows they have to manufacture their outrage. It's not real. Then we shift to Disney's address to the Securities and Exchange Commission where they wonder if they might have misaligned their objectives versus what their customers might want? I don't believe they have really learned their lesson, but we will have to wait and see. Until they drop...
info_outlineToday’s bonus episode is my sit-down conversation with Georgia State Representative Mesha Mainor (GA-56), who served three years in the Georgia General Assembly as a Democrat. After being bullied, ostracized and left as stranded as a shipwrecked sailor on an island, Rep. Mainor decided it was time to switch parties.
It was such a pleasure to spend 30 minutes with Mesha to talk about her experience running as a Democrat and how she came to realize the only party actually helping her, was the GOP. She is one of those politicians who remembers she is there to represent the will of her constituents. She does not believe her election gave her power to rule, but rather to server. She is a strong believer in school choice, of safe streets and of law enforcement. Her constituents are wanting the same and yet she found herself cut-off and even primaried in the last election.
Now, the Democrat leadership is going to come after her with everything they have for daring to put the people of the 56th district ahead of the agenda of the party. It’s a fascinating look at how someone tried to work within the party to which she was felt affiliated, until they decided she wasn’t going to be controlled. It’s a lesson in the state of current party politics.
I hope you enjoy the conversation and even consider supporting her bid for re-election this fall. We need more representatives with her servants heart and rock-solid courage.
