While I could focus solely on policy points and comments, which I do bring up a few, the most important takeaway comes early when Trump sets up the Democrats in a Catch-22.
Right after Rep. Al Green (D-CA) beclowned himself and had to be removed by the Sergeant-at-Arms, Trump made an observation. He said it didn’t matter what he brings, says or does, they will not stand, applaud, smile or cheer.
He then spent the rest of the speech showing the world that the Democrats did exactly as he said they would, and boy is that going to backfire. He talked about closing the border. They sat on their hands. He discussed capturing the mastermind to the Abby Gate attack that killed 13 Marines and wounded 42 others and they say on their hands. He discussed all the fraud found by DOGE including in the Social Security Administration and they sat on their hands.
But it got worse. During the segment of the speech where Donald Trump focused on real life stories of Americans, while we in the audience felt tears welling up at these moments, the Democrats sat on their hands.
During the post-show analysis, the Leftist hosts showed how soulless and despicable they really are in their core, while those focused on truth and accuracy saw the Masterclass Trump delivered. CBS/YouGov polling put the approvals at 76%. CNN had the polling at 66% favorable.
