The Dream Chaser Show
One of my personal definitions of money is - the measurement of value created. When I think of money this way it inspires me to create my own worth instead of looking for someone to give me anything. Using this perspective I'm more inspired to get into action and make things happen. It gives me energy knowing that I'm creating as a contributor to the "machine". On the other hand when I'm looking for people to give me anything it drains my energy, it doesn't empower me. When it come come to creating value my guest today is a master. I read his book a couple of...

A few weeks back I attended a networking event here in Atlanta while there I had the pleasure of meeting my guest on today's episode, Austin Distel. At the age of 24 Austin is a digital entrepreneur who has already created and sold an offline business and launched his own digital agency. As if that's not enough he's also one of the founders of a rapidly growing community of entrepreneurs called The Entrepreneur Alliance. The Entrepreneur Alliance is an online training hub and community for digital entrepreneurs. Outside of the phenomenal training and transparency of the community one of the...

One of the things that I love about entrepreneurship is it's the closest thing that you can get to being a professional athlete. You'll get direct feedback on whether you can really play or if you stink... but no matter what the market says about you, there's always room to improve and get better. Here's the cold truth... The job market is shrinking, with technology replacing human labor and capital funding becoming more and more scarce since the 2008 meltdown business owners and CEO's are more focused on costs and the bottom line more than ever. The highest cost savings can usually be found...

One of the things that I've always made an effort to be is someone that can lose everything and then turn around and get it all back. I say that because I believe that a truly wealthy man isn't wealthy because of his money or the value of his possessions. He's wealthy because of who he is. My guest today is one of those people. At his lowest point Tony found himself homeless with nothing to his name. It was also during this time that Tony began what he calls "His Great Experiment". With nothing left to lose he also lost his sense of fear. With time he slowly began to see the great...

I recently became interested in the study of Etymology, which in case you're not familiar is the study of the origins of words. When you truly understand the essence of a word, where it comes from and its true meaning you’re able to better apply the concept of the word to your studies and your life. Conversely one idea and concept that is probably more misunderstood than any other is the concept of money. Interestingly enough most of us dedicate most of our lives to making money for ourselves and our families but we never truly understand what it is or how its really created. As a result we...

Leonardo DiCaprio is one of my all time favorite actors. A while back he played a character named "Cobb" in the movie . If you've never seen it check it out, it was a pretty heavy movie. It's one of those movies that makes you think about what you're thinking about. In the movie Cobb was stealing corporate secrets and planting ideas by entering a "target's" dream. Being able to steal secrets was good but the real power was being able to plant an idea that would cause his "target" to take a set of desired actions. Pretty cool, right? Well believe or not my guest today, Rob Scott has a process...

I believe the true essence of entrepreneurship is having the ability to recognize an opportunity. An opportunity to take a product or situation of lower value. Enhance it. And then turn around and offer it back to the world at a higher value. This process of alchemy can be applied to anything; real estate, cars, clothing, services and what you'll learn in conversation today is that it can even be done with your story. My guest today is Anthony Trucks, Anthony became an entrepreneur against his will at the age of 3 years old, when he was placed into foster care by his mother. The statistics say...
info_outlineAre you interested in growing your brand or coaching practice online. I can help, let's talk.
Today I had the opportunity to sit down with internet marketer Jacque T. Morris aka Atlanta's own Shirt & Tie Guy. Jacque is a beast at creating relationships online, check this out...
as of July of this year he has already generated well over $100,000 in revenue in his online business.
In typical entrepreneur fashion Jacque's journey hasn't been a straight path to success. He left his corporate job making $45,000/year back in 2011 and reached his lowest point when he looked at his bank account and it read -$28.57 (ouch!)...
Jacque caught my attention last year when we connected on facebook and I saw that he was killing it in the e-commerce space. We've since kept in touch and I've personally witnessed the growth of his business as well as his leadership in the internet marketing industry. So it was a no-brainer to get him on the show to provide you guys with some of his insight on life and business.
One of the things that makes Jacque such a great leader is that he's a regular person, he doesn't pretend to have all of the answers or refer to himself as a "guru".
Even with all the success he's achieved he's still extremely grounded and down to earth which you'll see for yourself when you listen to the interview.
There are several things that I want you to listen for in this interview that I believe point to why Jacque has achieved the level of success that he has...
For one, it'll probably stand out right away that his work ethic is sick. Since he was a kid he's always been a hustler. I love it when people who are winning emphasize how hard they've worked because with the promise of "push button" riches which is so prevalent in the internet marketing space it's always refreshing when I hear someone tell the honest truth and say "look, it wasn't easy, I busted my ass to get here".
Hard work is what makes the world go around, its what drives the economy.
If you want a better life than work you have to work harder, plain and simple.
When you work hard the results show up, and once the results show up everything snow balls from there. It's not easy to get the results that are required to generate a good income online but once you get 'em success becomes not only easier but the work involved in getting those results also becomes more addictive.
The second thing that stood out in the interview is that failure is always part of the process...Jacque shared a past experience of going "all in" on an online venture that winded up doing extremely well. He even pulled many of his friends and family into the venture only to have the SEC come in and shut the company down. Leaving him broke and many of his friends and family losing significant amounts of money (talk about having a bad day huh?)
The third idea that stood during the conversation was the fact that he had plenty of ups and downs and he even thought about quitting on several occasions.
But what you'll notice as you listen to his story that once he became fully committed to taking continuos massive action towards his goals, no longer allowing failure to become an option that's when "magic" started to happen.
There were too many insights to count but some other things you'll learn in this interview are;
- How he trained himself to never fear losing a job when he worked in corporate America
- The exact blueprint that he used to enroll over 100 people into his online business in 27 days
- Why living below your means is so critical as an entrepreneur, especially in the beginning
- The mindset that you need to have in order to create success in business
- How he generated over $1000 by sending out 1 email
- Why taking consistent action will attract more people to you then trying to "sell" people on your business
- and more
Now matter if you're an experience entrepreneur or just starting out you definitely want to check out this episode of the The Dream Chaser Show out.
