Sperm Health, Aging, and Male infertility with guest Kristin Brogaard show art Sperm Health, Aging, and Male infertility with guest Kristin Brogaard

The Egg Whisperer Show

Today, Dr. Kristin Brogaard is joining me today to talk about the Path Fertility SpermQT test. I’m so excited to have her share about the test, because as you’ll hear her say “lots of infertility goes undiagnosed because men go undiagnosed, and when men go undiagnosed, women go through procedures that will not work.” (Who else wants to see this on a bumper sticker?) While sperm were long considered to be just carriers of DNA, it turns out they are a lot more complex than that! Understanding the sperm side of the equation can help anyone trying to conceive better understand what’s...

Fertility Myths Debunked show art Fertility Myths Debunked

The Egg Whisperer Show

Do you think you can put botox in your ovaries? You know, plump up those older eggs to regain their youthfulness? Nope, sorry. Not possible. Or have you thought that because you can take a youthful looking selfie, and feel great, that your fertility must be picture perfect too? Nope, sorry. Good selfies don’t equal good fertility. But you’re not dumb. You know that. But there may be some tricky information out there that you’re not entirely sure if it’s true. Fertility isn’t surface level. It’s not skin-deep. It’s biology. It’s what’s deep inside, and yet impacted by...

Dr. Meivys Garcia is joining me on the podcast today! She is an amazing Canadian fertility doctor, and she's guiding us through her approach to fertility care when a frozen embryo transfer doesn’t work. She will describe every step, one at a time. We will also get personal. Knowing the heartbreak of having failed embryo transfers during her own fertility journey, Dr. Garcia knows all too well what it is like to be a fertility patient.

She’s going to share her journey and share her wisdom based on her experience as a patient and as a fertility expert.

I’m going to be honest and open about this; one of the hardest parts of walking the fertility journey with patients is when we have loss. Whether that be the loss of a pregnancy or the loss of a frozen embryo, it’s heart wrenching for me, and for the patient.

Today’s podcast episode will be about holding space for loss, and how to move on when you’ve had difficult news. It’s about what you can learn from the unfortunate events. It’s also about the hope and courage it takes to be a fertility patient, and the admiration that Dr. Garcia and I have for every patient we’ve worked with.
