Mindfulness.  There are magazines, blogs, books, and hundreds of courses available on this topic.  I have also recorded several podcasts about this, as well.  Yet while I was in London at a conference, I had the opportunity to view mindfulness in a whole new light. I think most people when faced with a situation that feels much larger than us, have felt, “What impact can I truly have?” So we go through life believing that our thoughts, our words, or our actions, have no consequence in the big picture.  If that’s the case, then what is, collective consciousness?  Here’s one…

I think it’s fair to say that most people would consider themselves being “present” whenever they are in a conversation with someone.  They were there, they heard that the other person was talking, so they can check that box.  However, there is a big difference between hearing someone and truly listening.  In this episode “being…

Have you ever wondered how many times you “got it wrong?” This includes interpreting a text the wrong way, an email, or what someone said.  And it doesn’t stop there.  Once we assign meaning to that communication, we start passing judgement about the person who said it, and create a story or a “belief” around…

Dr. Greg Schreeuwer is a renowned empowerment coach and human behavioral specialist who works with people to enable them to break through obstacles and find their true north. Greg’s philosophy is simple – if you do what you love and love what you do, you can accomplish anything you set your mind to.

We’ve all heard the statement, “Work smarter not harder.”  That concept can be seen through the endless supply of courses on time management, and the myriad of life hacks on getting more out of each minute of your day.  This conversation is actually the exact opposite that mindset.  Dr. Greg and I talk about the need to slow down, trust the process, and stop fighting the tide.  We all live in such a fast paced world, where we need to hurry up and get where we are going- that the anxiety, depression, and stress that comes along with a frantic way of life, is actually what keeps people from having a life that truly has meaning.

Best advice:  Be present and get in the moment.  That is the most effective way to move forward. Don’t try to speed up the process, and make things happen sooner than they are supposed to.  Don’t try to escape your pain and discomfort.  Allow the process to unfold at a slower rate and give yourself time to take one step after the other. Everyone who has achieved greatness has done so, over time.  Slow down, let go, and go with the current… stop fighting the tide.

The one thing you absolutely believe to be true:

Every human being has a purpose to fulfill.  Every challenge has created a void, which drive your values, and those values usually define your purpose.  It’s what drives you to want help people to avoid those same challenges.
