Enjoy Part 2 of the Peer Support for Brain Injury Podcast. A wonderful service with some very positive results. "As of March 11, 2020, Covid hit and every hospital in the United States shut down.  They did not allow visitors into the hospitals at all.  This also meant that they did not allow volunteers to enter the hospital. That's when Peer Support visits became really important."-A.Boriskie (Project Developer)

Many of us are always on the search looking for anything that may help the person we care for suffering with aphasia.  We may hear about behavior therapies, drugs for stroke, or surgical procedures. However, TIME TO TALK TRAUMATIC BRAIN INJURY the podcast, decided the best thing to do was to ask the person dealing with this speech disorder about what methods they think are best for us to speak to them, listen to them, have patience with them and learn about aphasia.
