Dr. Khan is a critical care medicine physician currently serving in COVID ICUs, and is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine at Western University, College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Khan completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Southern California in 2004; completed her medical degree at Touro University College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2008; completed
an internal medicine residency at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center in 2011; and then completed a critical care fellowship at Mount Sinai Icahn School of Medicine in 2013, eventually returning to California to join the faculty at USC in 2016, and then Western University in 2017.
In addition to clinical interests in critical care ultrasound and neuro-critical care, Dr. Khan also has a special interest in helping students get into medical schools despite low scores. She offers an online course, called the Future Doctor Formula, where she provides students guidance into the medical school application process. Often referred to simply as “the Female Doc” (her social media handle on Instagram), Dr. Khan also broadcasts many medical educational video snippets encouraging students on their
premed journey!
