More Episodes

In this episode, I chat with Stephanie LaTorre, an entrepreneur helping women grow their businesses. Stephanie booked a one way ticket to Italy where she discovered the journey that fuels her soul.  In our conversation, Stephanie talks about saying yes and doing what others thought she would do to support them, but not  choosing the things that would support herself. It was the question: “but what do I want?” That sparked her own exploration to live life her own way. For Stephanie, she physically could no longer do what others wanted her to do.  She needed to break free and said “enough is enough”.

During our conversation we chat about:

  • Choosing from the options given instead of deciding what was best for her.
  • How she took steps to explore her options, start a business even with limited knowledge, figuring out life as you go along, and bring open to new opportunities.
  • Being open to evolving and embracing personal development to grow on your journey.
  • The power of surrounding yourself with the right people, receiving help and guidance to build the life you dream of.
  • The importance of embracing personal development and self-care.

Powerful Insight:

  • “It is so important to be able to listen to yourself and listen to your body and listen to your brain. And if you are having those kinds of fears and doubts and feeling stuck, it’s your body way of telling you that there is something going on that needs to be addressed here. There is something that you need to be working on.”
  • “Whatever you think the problem is, it’s generally not the problem. So go find whatever the problem underneath that problem is because thats the one you need to work on to the fix that one you really want to fix.”
  • “There is not a single person that you are looking at that is successful or risk and famous or has gotten to amazing points in their life that did not work with someone on this stuff.”

Tips to move you forward on your journey:

  1. Meditation - Meditation sets aside time for YOU away from the chaos of your world. It creates an inner peace.  “It is so important to be able to listen to yourself and listen to your body and listen to your brain. And if you are having those kinds of fears and doubts and feeling stuck, it’s your body way of telling you that there is something going on that needs to be addressed here. There is something that you need to be working on.”
  2. Journaling - Write down your story for YOU.  From the beginning of your life to now. Write your truth. When something is bothering you, journaling is a great way to identify what is causing the issue and to work through how you can make a shift to solve the problem. Rewrite your stories after they happen and work through what is going on and what you are worried about each day. When you write out your stories, you can rewrite their meanings so that you work through the negative self-talk or what is really bothering you about those experiences.
  3. Find a mentor, a coach, who can guide you -  a coach or a mastermind group will challenge you and ask the right questions to keep you moving forward, to help you see a new perspective and shift your mind in a direction that will lead you to overcome obstacles.  “My brain only knows what it knows. It works based on the 35 years of experience that I have. It can’t tell me things beyond that until I get there. But other people have different experiences, so by allowing them to help you and guide you, it is life changing. And you can’t do it on your own.”  You need to surround yourself with people that support you and are your cheerleaders so they can push you to be better than you are!
