Aman, marking my 110th episode of VideoFuzzy titled "Sweet Spot," reporting the progress I've made in cataloging thousands of VHS transfers and digital recordings in a personal media collection stretching back decades. [1:42] This time I'm reviewing the third installment in author and fellow podcaster Kemper Donovan's ghostwriter mystery series "Sweet Spot," [IG] written as an impossible crime and set in my new home state of Utah. [10:35] I'm then joined by Kemper Donovan himself for a fun chat about the book, his ongoing tour and I count down the top ten authors I've...

I talk about the series premiere of "Luther" turning up in my classic collection, a fabulous 2025 production of "The Importance of Being Earnest," plus "Grey's," "Glee," J.J. Hiya! I'm Terry J. Aman, host of VideoFuzzy, your source for media, commentary and nostalgia, and in Ep. 108: Tenuous Connections, the title refers most directly to the subtle pattern development at the crux of a case Olivia investigates on the other side in my feature discussion of "Fringe," as well as unexpected connections I explore between episodes of "Mister Sterling" and "Rubicon." I celebrate having cataloged 2000 discs in my classic collection with a somewhat more than usually detailed exploration of them. For all this, Marilyn Manson, Madonna movies and "The Increasingly Poor...

Hiya! I'm Terry J. Aman, host of VideoFuzzy, your source for media, commentary and nostalgia, and in ep. 106: NERD SHOW, I dive into some episodes of History Channel's "The Universe" covering let's call it a range of topics and quality. I encounter some artists in Minnesota Original, I talk "Peacemaker," "Psych," "Only Murders in the Building," just finished reading Ruth Ware's "The Woman in Cabin 10" and through a convoluted set of circumstances worthy of the show itself, I am reunited with mid-'90s FOX production "Strange Luck" on the YouTube channel Videos and Memories." For all this and...
info_outlineHi! My name is Terry J. Aman, marking my 107th episode of VideoFuzzy titled "Persons Unknown," reporting the progress I've made in cataloging thousands of VHS transfers and digital recordings.
"Persons Unknown" was a short-run summer series in 2010 on NBC, archived across now three binders in my collection, including an episode that never aired, archived to my current collection, as well as a home-burned disc set I crafted while watching them for this feature, which has also been posted to VideoFuzzy's YouTube channel as my 15th ever VideoFuzzy the Video: https://youtu.be/X0j2mMfjFng
In Cross Connections, I track connections through the cast of "Persons Unknown" as well as Barry Bostwick, Chi McBride, Aldis Hodge, Chris Gaultier, Colin Mochrie, Danny Strong, John Billingsley, Erik Charles Nielsen and Charissa Barton. Under Fond Reflection, I celebrate the life and work of Catherine O'Hara as a Golden Thread in my collection.
In my Classic Collection [VHS-to-DVD transfers], this set covered discs 1951-1975. An extension of strange coincidence I outlined last time, this was just the craziest set of circumstances, a search for a couple of ads that turned up in my collection came up empty so they ended up on VideoFuzzy's Instagram. That search, however, did turn up the final two episodes of "Strange Luck," a mid-'90s FOX production, these two on the YouTube channel @OASMovies-gw5tz and also posted within the past year. Wild!
Also, Isabella Rossellini explored the sex lives of bedbugs on the Sundance channel, which showed up as a clip and some commentary on "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart," a staticky copy of "The Rocky Horror Picture Show," and Jensen Ackles lip-syncing to Survivor's "Eye of the Tiger" in the credit sequence for a fourth-season episode of "Supernatural." https://bit.ly/3MkLSmd
In my Current Collection [direct to digital], I added the two episodes of "Strange Luck" that I found, along with a classic production of Agatha Christie's "The Seven Dials Mystery" from 1981 on AcornTV as well as the three-part Netflix adaptation. Also, comments on "Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery," issues with tubi's production of "Doctor Who," and Jack Smith's testimony to the House Judiciary Committee and comments from there.
In Book Reports, I've been walking a lot more and reading a lot of authors through my audible account. I've read three by Sophie Hannah, a short story collection by Agatha Christie and one each by Riley Sager, Marthe Jocelyn, Maureen Johnson and this one I'll recommend highly, "Agatha Raisin and the Quiche of Death" by M.C. Beaton, which was absolutely delightful.
Finally, in What I've Been Watching, my husband, Ralph, and I just finished watching "My Hero Academia," I've encountered a few episodes of "Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries," and over new year's I took in "Marty Supreme." Fun!
