What She Grows Through: Empowering Discussions for the Black Woman
In this episode of What She Grows Through, I’m sitting with a truth a lot of us don’t slow down long enough to name, how our environment is shaping our emotions, our nervous system, and the way we show up every day. I’m sharing this from lived experience as a Black woman, mother, and a creative who spent years thinking I was just tired or overwhelmed, when really my body was responding to spaces that never allowed it to rest. We talk about emotional regulation beyond coping skills, why chaos can feel familiar even when it’s costing us peace, and how choosing a different environment...

What Being HER Now Actually Looks Like This episode is a real-time reflection on what being HER now actually looks like in my life. Not the polished version or a highlight reel, but the grounded becoming that’s happening in between the big moments. I’m sharing where I am right now as a Black woman, a mother, a storyteller, and an entrepreneur who’s choosing alignment over survival, intention over urgency, and presence over pressure. This season has been about unlearning who I had to be, appreciating who I am, and finally letting myself live inside the version of me I used to wait for. If...

What if the secret to discovering your authentic self is actually found in stillness? Welcome back to "What She Grows Through," where today we're slowing down to truly understand what drives us. Life's relentless pace and the endless hustle can drown out our inner voices, but in this episode, we're taking a moment to just breathe and reflect. Growing up in a single-parent household, the concept of nonstop work was all I knew—my mom was always on the move, managing two jobs and home life. It seemed like success was tied to constant motion. But what if I told you that pausing could be just as...

info_outlineIn this episode of What She Grows Through, I’m sitting with a truth a lot of us don’t slow down long enough to name, how our environment is shaping our emotions, our nervous system, and the way we show up every day.
I’m sharing this from lived experience as a Black woman, mother, and a creative who spent years thinking I was just tired or overwhelmed, when really my body was responding to spaces that never allowed it to rest.
We talk about emotional regulation beyond coping skills, why chaos can feel familiar even when it’s costing us peace, and how choosing a different environment relates to safety, alignment, and healing. I also reflect on what it means for us as Black women to be intentional about the spaces we live, work, and raise our children in, especially in a world that constantly asks us to stay alert.
This episode is an invitation to slow down, check in with your body, and ask yourself where you actually feel at ease. Not where you perform well, but where you can breathe.
If you’ve been craving softness, clarity, and a deeper understanding of why certain seasons feel heavier than others, this conversation is for you!
