After we shared our story in written form in May 2017, we wanted to expand our audience by turning it into a podcast. We decided to split our story into three separate episodes: Entering the System, Dealing with the System, and Surviving the System. At the end of each episode we have our roundtable discussions, where we [the Junket Crew] compare our own experiences in the foster care system with what the character in our story goes through. Through our podcast, we hope to shine more light on the realities of being in foster care and how those listening can participate in the system as a supporting role for those in care. http://junketnyc.org/

Stories Matter. Not just any story, but our stories. Stories connect us to ourselves, one another, and to the rest of the world. Stories don’t just connect us, it is these narratives that possess the power to create a more loving and just world. As we tell our stories with candor and courage, imagination, and joy, we create better stories together. And maybe one day, a better story can be told.
