Motherhood is something that all women will think about at one point in their lives. For many, it’s not even a thought. It’s a ‘when’. For some, it’s a clear ‘not for me’. For every other woman who falls in between, there was a journey which led them and may still be leading them to the ultimate conclusion. And, as we know, the experience of motherhood always keeps flowing, changing, and growing along with our children. Almost all of us can say it’s the hardest thing we’ve ever done, and it’s true when we say it takes a village. Using that analogy and today’s technology, this podcast is for women, mothers, and (sometimes) for men so they can listen and hear personal and heartfelt stories told by real, everyday women.

“You’re It Girl,” is dedicated to propelling you forward by embracing experiences from our past and how those experiences give us the power and passion to find our purpose. Neglect, molestation, sexual exploitation, abuse, my mom’s infidelity & addiction to alcohol and sleeping pills, my dad being a drug dealer and our family house burning down were things from my past I was embarrassed to embrace. I hid behind an image I created. The perception of that picture perfect image was finally brought to light through the emotional and spiritual realization that my purpose had been suffocated by the secrets of my past. Through healing and acceptance I realized these events alone are responsible for igniting the passion inside me to help others find their voice, their confidence and their strength. Tag! You’re It! Your past has paved the way to the greatest possibilities. Your passion & purpose are waiting for you to take hold. You’re It Girl!

If you’ve ever asked yourself these questions… How can I love myself? How can I move on from my past? How can I get rid of shame and guilt? How do I find my purpose or passion? How do I live a meaningful life? How can I increase my self-confidence? You’re Not a Bad Person is the podcast that can provide clarity and answers to all of these questions. In this podcast, Erica is going to bring awareness to subjects that are uncomfortable to talk about. Some of these subjects are stigmatized, and/or controversial. She openly shares her own secrets and experiences around her past, some of which include business failures, mental health struggles, and failed relationships. Erica is an open book; her stories will feel relatable, and her lessons will be valuable. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, and you’ll leave feeling inspired. You’re Not a Bad Person will teach you how to step into the most authentic version of yourself. The version of you that is shame free and owns every part of themselves. Your past does not define you, and every single one of us deserves to live a life of abundance, shame-free. We have all done things we’re not proud of, and we all have secrets. We’ve experienced guilt and have struggled with our identities. It doesn’t make you a bad person, it makes you human. Connect with Erica and find more resources here: https://ericarankin.com
