Brian and Sarah are your hosts for this look back at albums from the New Wave and Classic Rock genres-- albums which have earned a permanent spot in their record collection. The hosts start the discussion with a history of the album, followed by their personal history with it. Over the course of two episodes, they do a track-by-track review of the album and the videos that accompany the singles. They conclude by each giving the album a final review and rating of zero to 100 record adapters. Join Brian and Sarah in this fun look back at the hits-- along with some misses-- of the 70s and 80s!

Permission Slip-ups is a podcast about what it really takes to live the life you desire. We all want a life that feels more aligned, more fulfilling, more us. But giving ourselves permission to go after it? That’s where things get messy. Kate and David dive into the real-life tension between desire and doubt, courage and caution, freedom and fear. They explore what happens when you take a bold step and it doesn’t go as planned, when you hold back because you’re afraid it won’t work out, and what it means to keep going—even after a stumble. This isn’t about having it all figured out. It’s about navigating the in-between—the messy middle—where we learn, stretch, slip up, and keep moving forward. Because sometimes the biggest breakthroughs come right after the biggest doubts.

Perry Mason
PERRY MASON
close

Perry Mason is a fictional defense attorney who originally appeared in detective fiction by Erle Stanley Gardner. This long running radio drama had several actors who played the famous lawyer starting with Bartlett Robinson and then followed by Santos Ortega, Donald Briggs, and finally John Larkin who played the famous attorney after 1947. The radio portrayal of Perry Mason is a far more involved lawyer then the one who became famous on TV, the radio version would rather swap gunshots with evildoers than sit in a boring courtroom, waiting for the deliberation! The show was only 10 minutes and was more intense and favored action than courtroom drama. Perry Mason ran 12 seasons and moved to TV in the late 1950's with the now famous portrayal by Raymond Burr. Each show follows a continues story line similar to soap operas. Join us as we join Perry Mason in crime mysteries and court room drama.
