Brobdingnagian Bards Podcast
BROBDINGNAGIAN BARDS PODCAST

Scottish and Irish folk songs combined with the Lord of the Rings music and a wee bit o’Celtic fun. The Brobdingnagian Bards (pronounced brob-din-nahg-EE-en) were The Original Celtic Renaissance music duo from Austin, Texas. Their unique brand of folk music on the autoharp, recorder, and mandolin made them one of the most-popular Celtic music groups online where they continue to give away thousands of free Celtic MP3 downloads daily. From 1999 to 2008, the Brobdingnagian Bards performed coast-to-coast, and in a given month could be found at a Lord of the Rings Oscar Party, a Celtic festival, or a Science Fiction Convention. However, they were an absolute favorite at Renaissance Faires where they added high-energy and wit to make every show a memorable experience. Thanks in part to this podcast, their shows are never done! All songs are used with permission of the artists and copyright holders.

In the Broke-ish space, we talk about being broke—broke and Black in America. We talk about all the unbelievable *ish that America has done to black people to keep us in this Broke-ish state. We've been bamboozled in ways that personal finance tips and traditional financial literacy can't fix. Our co-hosts, Amber and Erika, are grown @ss women sharing candidly about money, wealth-building and the financial urban legends that need to die. You'll hear them draw from research, statistics and personal insights to create an engaging podcast whose mission is to be a part of changing the narrative around money. Broke-ish is for those who still persevere, in spite of all the things that America, capitalism & white supremacy, have done to Black people. We're Broke-ish. Let's talk about it.

BroKen & Believing | Rev. Kenn Blanchard

“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” — Psalm 34:18 Broken & Believing is a sanctuary for the ones still standing, still trying, still trusting—sometimes with trembling hands. Hosted by Kenn, a blues‑soaked pastor, storyteller, and lifelong student of grace, this podcast sits at the intersection of faith, struggle, and the quiet courage it takes to keep going. Every episode is a conversation with the real. Not the polished. Not the perfect. The real. Here, we talk about the parts of life we don’t always bring to church: the disappointments we didn’t see coming, the healing that takes longer than we hoped, the prayers we whisper in the dark, and the small victories that remind us God is still at work. Through stories, scripture, humor, and grown‑folk honesty, Kenn offers a voice that feels like a porch light—steady, warm, and welcoming. If you’re carrying something heavy… If you’re rebuilding your faith… If you’re learning to trust again… If you’re trying to make sense of your own becoming… This is your space. Broken & Believing isn’t about having all the answers. It’s about walking together toward hope, one honest conversation at a time.
