A podcast series from SDCC Libraries, Different Minds, Shared Spaces celebrates neurodiversity in all its forms. Each episode features engaging conversations with individuals, advocates, and experts who share their lived experiences, insights, and practical advice on a wide range of neurodivergent conditions — from autism and ADHD to dyslexia, dyspraxia, and more. Whether you’re neurodivergent yourself, supporting someone who is, or simply curious to learn, this series offers a warm and inclusive space to raise awareness, deepen understanding, and celebrate every kind of mind. Tune in and join the conversation — because every mind deserves to be heard. We wanted to make our library talks more accessible and easy to enjoy. While we’ll continue to host events in our libraries, our podcast selection now gives you the freedom to listen anytime, anywhere — dip in or out whenever it fits your day. Each conversation shines a light on real lived experiences and helps give a platform to voices from our neurodivergent community. There are 10 episodes in the series, with guests chatting about dyspraxia, dyslexia, ADHD, autism, PDA and more — plus a special Red Line Book Festival episode on Wired Our Own Way. The conversations are really open and honest, giving a real sense of people’s lived experiences and helping to amplify voices from our neurodivergent community. The episodes go pretty in-depth too, so feel free to hit pause and come back whenever you need — there’s no rush.
