Evening Devotional: Why Must I Mourn?
PM Edition for July 21 In tonight's episode of "Morning and Evening with Chuck Spurgeon," we delve into Psalm 42:9, which poignantly asks, "Why must I go about mourning?" This reflection invites us to examine the reasons behind our sorrow and to consider the hope that we have in Christ. The theme for this evening centers on finding joy and hope amidst life's trials and tribulations. Key Points: Reflection on Mourning vs. Rejoicing: The devotional challenges us to consider why we often mourn instead of rejoice. It questions our tendency to entertain gloomy anticipations, reminding us that night will turn to day and winter will give way to spring. Encouragement to Hold on to Hope: We are encouraged to trust that God never fails us, even in the darkest moments. God's love remains constant, like mountains steadfast even when shrouded in darkness. Purpose of Trials: God uses our trials for our lasting good, similar to how a father disciplines out of love. These afflictions are temporary and serve a greater purpose in shaping our character and drawing us closer to Him. Joy in Tribulation: We are urged to sing in the midst of tribulation and to rejoice even while passing through the furnace of affliction. Our light troubles are momentary, and the eternal joy that awaits us far outweighs them.

Sunday Sermons: The Secret of Power in Prayer
07/21/2024
Sunday Sermons: The Secret of Power in Prayer
Today, we journey back to a profound sermon delivered at the Metropolitan Tabernacle in London on January 8, 1888 The sermon we are exploring today is titled "The Secret of Power in Prayer," based on John 15:7, which reads, "If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you." This scripture opens the door to a powerful understanding of the relationship between abiding in Christ and the effectiveness of our prayers. In this message, I endeavored to address several vital themes, themes that resonate with the urgency and passion of the gospel message. Firstly, we explored the essential call to abide in Christ. Just as a branch must remain connected to the vine to bear fruit, so must we remain in Christ to experience the fullness of His grace and the power of prayer. It is through this abiding that we grow in purity, joy, power, and blessedness. Secondly, we discussed the transformative power of abiding in Christ's words. When His words dwell richly in us, they shape our desires and align our wills with God's. This intimate connection ensures that our prayers are in harmony with His divine will, leading to remarkable answers to our requests. The third theme is the profound promise of answered prayer. "Ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you" is a bold and extraordinary assurance given to those who abide in Christ and let His words abide in them. This privilege is not a blank check for selfish desires but a powerful tool for those who seek to glorify God and advance His kingdom. Moreover, we tackled the common struggle of feeling powerless in prayer. By emphasizing the necessity of continuous, living union with Christ, I urged my listeners to cultivate a deep, personal relationship with Him, ensuring that their prayers are both fervent and effective. Fifthly, I acknowledged the essential role of the Holy Spirit. It is not through human effort alone that prayers are answered, but by the mighty power of God's Spirit working through us, aligning our hearts with His purposes. Lastly, the sermon was marked by passionate pleading. With fervor and heartfelt emotion, I appealed to all who would hear, to turn to Christ, abide in Him, and experience the incredible power of prayer that He promises to His faithful followers. This sermon, "The Secret of Power in Prayer," is a reflection of my deep-seated conviction in the importance of a vibrant, abiding relationship with Christ and the Christian's duty to remain steadfast in Him. It combines theological insights with practical exhortations, aiming to inspire and empower believers to experience the fullness of God's promises. So, without further ado, let us listen to the words that flowed from the pulpit that day. May they stir your hearts and inspire you to deepen your walk with Christ and discover the true power of prayer.

Morning Devotional: Faith Triumphing Over Fear

Morning Devotional: Faith Triumphing Over Fear
AM Edition for July 21 The devotional today encourages us to look with calm contempt upon our most formidable foes, knowing that they strive in vain against the eternal and invincible power of God. Just as the trembling citizens of Zion found boldness through faith, we too can stand firm, recognizing the ultimate futility of those who oppose God's will. Our enemies, though they may roar and swell, are but men—fragile and powerless in the face of the Almighty. Key Points: Reassurance Through God's Word: The citizens of Zion were reassured by the Word of the Lord, enabling them to shake their heads at Sennacherib's threats. Strong faith empowers us to look with calm contempt upon our most haughty foes. Understanding Our Enemies' Weakness: Our enemies attempt the impossible by striving against the eternal life that cannot die as long as Jesus lives. They seek to overthrow the citadel against which the gates of hell shall not prevail. Their efforts are futile, and they injure themselves in the process. Confidence in God's Power: We know that our enemies are but men—fragile like worms. When the Lord arises, they shall flee as chaff before the wind and be consumed like crackling thorns. Their powerlessness to harm God's cause may make even the weakest soldiers in Zion's ranks laugh them to scorn. The Most High is With Us: Above all, we know that the Most High is with us. When He dresses Himself in arms, His enemies cannot withstand Him. If He comes forth from His place, the earth will not long contend with its Maker. His rod of iron shall dash them to pieces like a potter's vessel, and their very remembrance shall perish from the earth.

Evening Devotional: Why Go to Egypt?
07/20/2024
Evening Devotional: Why Go to Egypt?
PM Edition for July 20 The devotional today recounts how Israel, despite witnessing numerous miracles and receiving God's varied mercies, foolishly abandoned their true and living God to chase after false idols. God, through the prophet Jeremiah, pleads with His people, questioning their decision to leave the pure and refreshing streams of His provision for the muddy and deceitful waters of Egypt. This poignant imagery serves as a warning to us, urging us to reflect on our own spiritual journey. Key Points: God's Proven Worthiness: By numerous miracles, varied mercies, and remarkable deliverances, Jehovah had proven Himself worthy of Israel's trust. Yet, they forsook their true and living God to follow false idols. God's Plea: The Lord constantly rebuked Israel for their foolishness, pleading with them, "Why do you wander so far and leave your own cool stream from Lebanon? Why abandon Jerusalem to turn aside to Noph and Tahapanes?" A Message for Believers: As believers who have tasted the goodness of Christ, we are called to remember the richness of our fellowship with Him and the joy of His presence. The fleeting pleasures of this world cannot compare to the deep satisfaction found in Christ. Return to the Living Fountain: If we find ourselves drifting towards the empty promises of worldly pleasures, let us quickly return to the living fountain, Jesus Christ. Just as Rutherford noted, having tasted the manna from heaven, our appetite should no longer crave the husks of this world.

Morning Devotional: The Earnest of Our Inheritance
AM Edition for July 20 The devotional today encourages us to cherish the enlightenment and delight we find in Christ, even though it is but a foretaste of the greater joy to come. Our present experience of God's grace is like a single cluster from Eshcol, a small taste that whets our appetite for the full harvest of heaven. We are reminded that our current spiritual understanding is just the beginning, a glimpse that makes us long for the complete revelation of God's goodness. Key Points: Present Enlightenment and Joy: What joy and consolation are experienced by the one who relies on Jesus alone. Yet, our understanding of Christ's preciousness in this life is incomplete. As an old writer says, "It's just a taste!" The little we know of His sweetness makes us long for more. Firstfruits of the Spirit: We have enjoyed the firstfruits of the Spirit, which make us hunger and thirst for the fullness of the heavenly bounty. Here, we are like Israel in the wilderness with only a single cluster from Eshcol; there, we shall be in the vineyard. Future Fulfillment: Our spiritual education has just begun. Although we have learned the basics, we cannot yet fully comprehend the glory that awaits. Soon, every wish shall be satisfied, and all our abilities will find the sweetest employment in that eternal world of joy. Heavenly Anticipation: Imagine heaven for a few years. In a very short time, you shall be free from all your trials and troubles. Your eyes, now filled with tears, shall weep no more. You shall gaze in indescribable rapture upon the splendor of Him who sits on the throne. More than that, you shall sit upon His throne. The triumph of His glory shall be shared by you; His crown, His joy, His paradise—all these shall be yours, and you shall be co-heir with Him who is the heir of all things.

Evening Devotional: Christ's Tender Care for the Weak and Fragile Among His Followers

Evening Devotional: Christ's Tender Care for the Weak and Fragile Among His Followers
PM Edition for July 19 Tonight’s scripture from Matthew 12:20 beautifully captures the gentle and compassionate nature of our Savior, Jesus Christ. Our theme for this evening revolves around Christ's tender care for the weak and fragile among His followers. The devotional today encourages us to find comfort in the tenderness of Jesus. We are reminded that even in our most fragile state, whether like a bruised reed or a smoldering wick, Jesus treats us with utmost care and compassion. While some of God's children are strong and capable of mighty deeds, many of us feel weak, timid, and easily overwhelmed by life's challenges. Yet, it is precisely for the weak and fearful that this promise is made. Key Points: Jesus' Compassion for the Weak: A bruised reed and a smoldering wick are metaphors for those of us who feel fragile and weak. A reed that grows in the marshes is so fragile that the lightest touch can snap it, and a smoldering wick is barely holding onto a spark. Despite their fragility, Jesus promises not to break the bruised reed or snuff out the smoldering wick. Tenderness Over Scolding: Some of God's children are strong, like Samsons who can perform mighty acts. However, the majority of His people are timid and fearful. They are easily frightened and often feel overwhelmed. Jesus, in His infinite compassion, does not scold us for our weaknesses but instead offers gentle support and reassurance. Comfort in His Promise: This promise is made especially for those who feel weak and fragile. It reveals the grace and kindness of Jesus, who is gentle, tender, and considerate. We need never fear His touch or harsh words. His approach is always filled with love and understanding.

Morning Devotional: Revelation of God's Glory Through Trials and Tribulations
07/19/2024
Morning Devotional: Revelation of God's Glory Through Trials and Tribulations
AM Edition for July 19 Today’s scripture from Deuteronomy 5:24 reminds us of God's primary purpose in all His works: to display His glory. Our theme for this morning is the revelation of God's glory through the trials and tribulations we face in life. The devotional today encourages us to recognize that God's glory is often revealed in our lives through difficult and trying circumstances. It is in these moments of weakness and helplessness that we become most aware of our need for God's intervention and majesty. Those who face life's storms and navigate its deep waters come to understand the power and wonder of Jehovah more profoundly than those who experience only smooth and easy paths. Key Points: God's Glory in Trials: God's main purpose in all His works is to display His own glory. To fully perceive this, our self-importance must be set aside. God often leads us into difficult situations so we become aware of our own foolishness and weakness, thus ready to witness His majesty when He intervenes. Understanding Through Hardships: Someone whose life is always smooth and easy will see little of the Lord's glory. Those who navigate small streams and shallow waters know little of the God of storms, but those who "do business in great waters" see His "wonders in the deep." It is through vast waves of loss, poverty, temptation, and scorn that we learn the Lord's power because we feel our own smallness. Praise for Rough Roads: Thank God for leading you down a rough road. It is this journey that has given you your experience of God's greatness and lovingkindness. Your troubles have enriched you with knowledge that cannot be gained any other way. Your trials have been like the cleft in the rock where the Lord placed Moses, allowing you to see His glory as it passed by.

Evening Devotional: Harmony and Order in Our Spiritual Lives
PM Edition for July 18 Tonight’s scripture from Joel 2:8 speaks of the orderly march of locusts and draws a fascinating parallel to the spiritual life of believers, emphasizing the importance of harmony and order in our walk with Christ. Key Points: Divine Order: Locusts, though numerous, maintain their ranks without jostling each other. This reflects the divine order God has infused into His creation, showing how even the smallest creatures are governed by it. Balance of Virtues: In our spiritual lives, no single virtue should overshadow another. Love should not overwhelm honesty, courage should not push aside gentleness, modesty should not hinder energy, and patience should not destroy determination. Each virtue must find its proper place. Harmony of Duties: Our duties should not interfere with one another. Public service should not damage personal piety, and church work should not neglect family worship. Offering one duty at the expense of another is not pleasing to God. Respecting Roles: We must know our place within the body of Christ, serving faithfully without envy or ambition. Jesus taught us to be willing to be the least among our brethren, avoiding the desire for high positions.

Morning Devotional: Humility and Honor in Serving in Humble Roles
AM Edition for July 18 Today’s scripture from Numbers 2:31 speaks of the tribe of Dan, who brought up the rear when the armies of Israel were on the march. Our theme this morning revolves around the humility and honor of serving in positions that may seem less prestigious yet are vital to the body of Christ. The devotional today encourages us to embrace our roles, no matter how humble, recognizing that all positions in God's kingdom are significant. Whether we lead or follow, we share the same divine guidance, spiritual nourishment, and ultimate inheritance. Reflecting on the Danites' useful place in the rear guard, we learn that every position, even those less visible, carries important duties and opportunities to bless others. Key Points: Equality in the Army of God: The Danites, though positioned last, were as much a part of Israel's army as the foremost tribes. They followed the same divine guidance and received the same blessings. Embrace Humble Roles: Serving in less visible roles can be just as important. Whether in a small village or a back street, our work for Jesus is valuable. Usefulness of the Rear Guard: The rear guard's role is crucial in picking up stragglers and lost property. Similarly, those with a more conservative spirit help remind the church of its ancient faith and support its fainting members. Danger and Duty: The rear guard faces danger from attacks, just as Amalek attacked Israel’s rear. Experienced Christians must aid those who are last in faith, knowledge, and joy, ensuring they are not left unaided.

Evening Devotional: The Absolute Necessity of Eradicating Sin from Our Lives
PM Edition for July 18 Tonight’s scripture emphasizes the resolute actions of the prophet Elijah. After witnessing the divine answer to his prayer, with fire consuming the sacrifice, Elijah called upon the people of Israel to seize the priests of Baal and declared sternly, "Let not one of them escape." He executed judgment on them at the brook Kishon. This decisive action serves as a powerful illustration for us regarding our sins—they are all condemned, and not one must be allowed to remain. Key Points: 1. Necessity of Eradicating Sin: The devotional highlights the essential need to eliminate sin from our lives, emphasizing drawing strength and guidance from the Lord. It uses Elijah's resolute actions as a model for decisively dealing with sin. 2. Seeking Strength in Jesus: The reflection stresses the significance of not sparing cherished sins, relying on Jesus for the power to overcome sin, and being in God's presence to effectively combat sin. 3. Embracing Sacred Zeal: The devotional encourages believers to adopt a sacred zeal and holy vengeance against sins, urging them to confront and eliminate the sins that plague them, inspired by God's goodness and grace.

Morning Devotional: Stand Still and See
AM Edition for July 17 Today’s devotional addresses the common desire to know one's election before coming to Christ, which is a misunderstanding. The true way to ascertain our election is by looking to Jesus. If you feel yourself to be a lost and guilty sinner, go directly to the cross of Christ. Tell Him of your guilt and remind Him of His promises, such as "Him that comes to Me, I will in no wise cast out" and "Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners." By looking to Jesus and believing in Him, you will find proof of your election, for as surely as you believe, you are elect. Surrender yourself completely to Christ and trust in Him, and you will know you are one of God's chosen. Key Points: Look to Jesus: The assurance of our election is found by looking to Jesus and believing in Him. Come as You Are: Do not seek to know your election before coming to Christ. Instead, come to Him with all your guilt and seek refuge in His wounds. Assurance through Faith: By trusting in Christ, you will receive the assurance of the Holy Spirit, confirming your election. Christ's Eternal Love: Jesus, who was present at the everlasting council, assures you of His eternal love and choice when you choose Him.

Evening Devotional: Finding Comfort in God's Merciful Dealings with His Church
PM Edition for July 16 Tonight’s scripture emphasizes finding comfort in God's merciful dealings with His church. A selfish person, whose comfort comes from within, struggles to find solace in times of trouble. However, a large-hearted person, filled with Christian love, finds comfort in God and in the well-being of others, particularly in the prosperity of the church. David, amidst his sorrow, found solace in the assurance that God would have mercy on Zion and that Zion would prosper, even if his own situation was dire. Key Points: Comfort in God's Mercy: True comfort during trouble comes from reflecting on God’s mercy and favor toward His church. Selflessness in Sorrow: While personal sorrow can be overwhelming, focusing on God's work in the church and the triumphs of the cross can lift our spirits. Prayers for the Church: In our prayers, extending beyond personal concerns to include the prosperity of the church brings refreshment to our souls. Encouragement from Zion: Our own troubles fade when we focus on God's dealings with His church, finding joy in the spread of His truth and the triumphs of His cross.

Morning Devotional: Essential Daily Dependence on the Lord for Spiritual Sustenance and Well-Being
AM Edition for July 16 Today’s scripture reminds us of the importance of maintaining a continual sense of dependence on the Lord for all our blessings and provisions. Just as the Israelites gathered fresh manna every morning, we must seek new grace and strength from the Lord each day. We cannot rely on past spiritual experiences or old anointings to sustain us; we need fresh oil from the sanctuary to keep our spirits alive and vibrant. It is the Lord who places us on the summit of His holy mountain, and only He can keep us there. Our comforts and joys, the light of our eyes and the strength of our lives, all lie in His hands and are sustained by His will. Key Points: Daily Dependence: The Israelites gathered manna each morning, symbolizing our need for daily spiritual nourishment. We must seek new grace and strength from the Lord every day. Fresh Anointing: Old spiritual experiences are not sufficient to sustain us. We need a fresh anointing from the Lord to keep our spirits vibrant. Sustaining Power: Our position and blessings are maintained by the Lord’s power. Without His continual provision, we would quickly falter. Daily Prayer: The Lord’s design reminds us to pray for "daily bread" and to recognize our need for His continual grace and provision. Unfailing Grace: Despite our ingratitude, the Lord’s grace flows abundantly. His blessings are continuous and unceasing.

PM Edition for July 15 Tonight’s scripture highlights the profound love and dedication that Mary Magdalene exemplified, which led to her being the first to see the risen Lord. Despite her past sins, her great love and dedication to Christ earned her the privilege of being the first to see Him after His resurrection. Her story teaches us that no matter the greatness of our sin before conversion, we can still be specially favored with deep fellowship with Christ. Key Points: Unwavering Devotion: Mary Magdalene had left everything to follow Jesus, making Him her first and chief object. Her life was marked by service and sacrifice, providing for Jesus' needs and standing by Him when others did not. Recognition and Allegiance: Jesus revealed Himself to Mary by simply calling her name, "Mary." This single word was enough to turn her sorrow into joy and recognition. Her immediate response, "Master," showed her deep allegiance and obedience. Deep Fellowship: This interaction reminds us that true communion with Christ is marked by recognizing His voice and submitting to His will. When we serve Him faithfully and draw near to Him, He honors us with His presence, turning our weeping into rejoicing.

Morning Devotional: The Importance of Maintaining Fire of Private Prayer and Devotion
AM Edition for July 15 Today’s scripture highlights the critical role of private prayer, the foundation that fuels all other forms of piety. The fire on the altar of private prayer is the source from which the sanctuary and family altars borrow their flames. This secret devotion is the essence and evidence of true religion, and it is vital to keep this fire burning brightly. Our times of prayer should be regular, frequent, and undisturbed. Effective prayer is powerful and necessary for many needs, including the Church, the ministry, our souls, our loved ones, our neighbors, and the global cause of God and truth. Key Points: Private Prayer: The fire of private prayer is essential for a vibrant spiritual life. It sustains other forms of worship and devotion. Regularity and Fervency: Make your times of prayer regular and fervent. Effective prayer is powerful and avails much. Examine Yourself: Evaluate your private devotions. If they are lukewarm, it is a sign of spiritual decay. Seek the Spirit of grace and supplication with earnest prayer. Extraordinary Prayer: Set aside special times for extraordinary prayer to rekindle the fire that might be dimming due to worldly distractions. Heart's Altar: God delights in hearts ablaze with love for Him. Offer your heart to God, filled with love and devotion, and seek His grace to keep the fire burning. Use Scripture as fuel and spend time alone with Jesus.

Evening Devotional: The Feverent Pursuit of Fellowship with the Lord

Key Lessons: Early Seeking: Mary Magdalene sought Jesus early in the morning, showing that a heart longing for Christ seeks Him at the first opportunity. If we wait for a more convenient time, we may never find the deep fellowship we desire. A heart fit for communion is one that hungers and thirsts for the Lord. Boldness in Pursuit: Despite the fear that drove others away, Mary boldly stayed at the tomb. True seekers of Christ must pursue Him with courage and determination, defying any obstacles. Faithfulness: Mary’s devotion was unwavering as she stood by the tomb, even when Jesus was not visibly present. Her faithfulness teaches us to cling to everything associated with Christ, remaining steadfast even in discouragement.

Sunday Sermons: Compel Them to Come In

Sunday Sermons: Compel Them to Come In
Today, we journey back to December 5, 1858, at the New Park Street Chapel in London. On that day, I delivered a sermon that remains dear to my heart and, I believe, speaks powerfully to us even now. The sermon is titled "Compel Them to Come In," and it draws from the profound words of our Lord in Luke 14:23: "Compel them to come in." In this message, I endeavored to address several vital themes, themes that resonate with the urgency and passion of the gospel message. Firstly, we explored the essential call to find and reach out to the lost. The spiritually poor, the maimed, and the outcasts—these are the very souls Christ bids us to compel to come to Him. There is no soul too far gone, no heart too hardened, that cannot be touched by His grace. Secondly, we discussed the urgency of evangelism. Time is fleeting, and the command to compel people to come to Christ is not one to be taken lightly or delayed. Every moment is an opportunity to share the life-transforming message of the gospel. The third theme is the inclusivity of God's invitation. His grace knows no bounds and extends to all, regardless of their circumstances or spiritual condition. The invitation is universal, and the welcome is warm. Moreover, we tackled the common excuses people give for not coming to Christ. These excuses are but flimsy barriers to the abundant life He offers. I urged my listeners, as I urge you today, to cast aside all hesitations and respond to His call without delay. Fifthly, I acknowledged the essential role of the Holy Spirit. It is not through human effort alone that souls are drawn to Christ, but by the mighty power of God's Spirit working through us. Lastly, the sermon was marked by passionate pleading. With fervor and heartfelt emotion, I appealed to all who would hear, to turn to Christ and receive the salvation He freely offers.

Morning Devotional: The Purity of God's Altar and Human Interference

Morning Devotional: The Purity of God's Altar and Human Interference
AM Edition for July 14 Today’s scripture underscores the importance of maintaining the purity of God's altar by building it with unhewn stones, free from human craftsmanship. This command emphasizes preserving the gospel's purity, avoiding human attempts to refine or enhance it. Such efforts can lead to defilement, altering the pure gospel into something unrecognizable. Human pride often drives the desire to contribute to our justification, but any addition to Christ’s finished work dishonors and pollutes it. Only God's work in atonement is perfect, and no human effort is acceptable on His divine altar. Key Points: Purity of the Gospel: The instruction to use unhewn stones symbolizes the need to preserve the gospel's purity, avoiding human alterations. Human Efforts: Any human attempt to add to or refine the gospel pollutes it, transforming it into something it was never meant to be. Divine Work: The work of atonement is solely God's domain, and human pride should not interfere with Christ's finished work. Acceptance: Believers must accept and rejoice in the unaltered truths of God's Word, resisting the temptation to reshape them according to personal understanding.

Morning Devotional: Examining Anger in Light of God's Righteousness

Morning Devotional: Examining Anger in Light of God's Righteousness
AM Edition for July 13 In this morning's episode, Chuck Spurgeon explores Jonah 4:9, discussing the nature of anger and its rightful place in a believer's life. The reflection emphasizes understanding when anger is justified and when it is not, urging believers to control their tempers and seek transformation through God's grace. Key Scripture: Jonah 4:9 Main Points: Questioning Anger: Anger itself is not always sinful, but it often tends to become unruly and destructive. Believers should question the validity of their anger by asking, "Do you have a right to be angry?" Justifiable Anger: There are instances where anger is justified, such as: Anger against sin for its offense against God. Anger at our own foolishness despite divine instruction. Anger at the evil deeds of others. Anger in these contexts aligns with God's own displeasure with sin. Unjustifiable Anger: More frequently, anger is unjustifiable and arises from impatience, pride, or the old sinful nature. Such anger is not honorable to the Christian profession nor glorifying to God. Controlling Temper: Believers are called to control their tempers, reflecting the gentleness and meekness of Christ. Yielding to temper is not an option, and natural infirmity should not be used as an excuse for sin. Grace should produce new, godly fruit, not justify old, sinful habits. Seeking Transformation: The devotional urges believers to seek the transforming power of grace to crucify their temper and renew their hearts in the image of Christ.

Morning Devotional: The Trinity and Sanctification
AM Edition for July 12 In this morning's episode, Chuck Spurgeon welcomes listeners to start their day with a reflective and prayerful exploration of Scripture. The focus is on the harmonious cooperation of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit in the process of sanctification. Key Scriptures: Jude 1 1 Corinthians 1:2 1 Peter 1:2 Main Points: Unified Work of the Trinity: The episode emphasizes that all three Persons of the Trinity—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—work together in the act of sanctification. It is a collective effort, and each Person of the Trinity is equally involved in the believer's journey towards holiness. Some may view Jesus as solely gracious, while seeing the Father as stern or neglecting the Spirit's work. All three Persons are united in their gracious acts and should be equally honored and recognized. True Holiness: The value of true holiness is highlighted, with the Three Persons of the Trinity working together to produce a Church that is pure and blameless. Believers are encouraged to appreciate and manifest the sanctifying work of the Triune God in their lives. Living in Holiness: Listeners are urged to live in a way that reflects the sanctifying work of the Trinity. This includes valuing the blood of Christ and the Spirit's work in preparing believers for their heavenly inheritance. Closing: Chuck encourages listeners to subscribe and share the podcast, wishing them grace and peace for the day ahead. He reminds them to remain steadfast in their faith, appreciating the unified work of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit in their lives.
