The Quiet Revelation of True Nature
09/17/2026
The Quiet Revelation of True Nature
Awakening is often imagined as something dramatic—a powerful energetic shift, an extraordinary state, a moment in which everything suddenly changes. But the revelation of our true nature is often far quieter than this. In this bonus episode, Amoda Maa explores how liberation is revealed not through effort, discipline, or the attempt to transcend experience, but through a simple willingness to meet what is here without resistance. As the subtle effort to maintain and protect the separate self begins to relax, the contraction at the centre of experience is seen to be less solid than it appears. Through this “soft stop,” identification with thoughts, emotions, sensations, and patterns begins to loosen, revealing the open field of awareness in which all experience arises. Awakening then becomes less about reaching a special state and more about recognizing the openness, presence, and being that have always been here. Amoda ends with a simple invitation: notice what you may be resisting right now, and see whether it can be allowed to be here exactly as it is.

Episode 72: The Depth of Surrender | When You Stop Arguing With Life
In this conversation, Amoda Maa and Kavi explore surrender not as defeat, passivity or giving away our authority, but as a profound softening of the grasping mind. Beginning with Amoda’s teaching on “the soft stop,” they look at the habitual movement to control, resist, interpret and resolve our experience — and what becomes possible when that movement begins to loosen. The conversation moves deeply into uncertainty, grief, loss, love and impermanence, revealing surrender not as a spiritual technique or destination, but as a way of meeting life itself. When the argument with this moment ends, even briefly, a deeper intelligence, openness and freedom can reveal itself.

Let It Be: When Nothing Needs to Be Fixed
In this bonus episode Amoda explores what it means to live from the quietness of being without withdrawing from the movement of life. Thoughts, emotions, fears, reactions and disappointments continue to arise, but they no longer have to define who we are or become the authority through which we interpret every experience. Through fear, sadness, contraction and triggers, Amoda points to the possibility of a shift in allegiance: away from the personal story and toward the silent openness in which all experience appears. When we stop asking what every feeling means about “me,” even difficult experiences can become doorways into a deeper intelligence, tenderness and intimacy with what is. This is awakening not as a distant attainment, but as a moment-by-moment return to what is already here. From a recent online event in 2026.

The Light of Being in Everyday Life: When Awakening Becomes Fully Lived
08/27/2026
The Light of Being in Everyday Life: When Awakening Becomes Fully Lived
In this bonus episode, Amoda explores what happens when awakening is no longer held as a transcendent state, spiritual attainment, or identity, but begins to permeate the ordinary movements of human life. She speaks about the subtle ways the self can appropriate realization, turning even openness, stillness, or spiritual experience into something to possess, preserve, or return to. When that movement of ownership relaxes, the light of being begins to express itself more naturally through relationship, action, listening, and the nervous system itself. This living realization reveals itself in quieter and often very human ways: less reactivity, less defensiveness, less need for validation, and less identification with fixed roles or positions. In its place comes a greater capacity to listen, to respond without agenda, and to allow life to move with more openness and freedom. Awakening, then, is not about becoming a perfected spiritual self. It is about allowing realization to become fully lived. This discourse was given at a 7-day retreat held at San Damiano Retreat Center in California, May 2026.

Clear Seeing: The End of Separation and the Soft Inner Gaze
08/20/2026
Clear Seeing: The End of Separation and the Soft Inner Gaze
In this bonus episode, recorded during Amoda’s recent retreat in Europe, she speaks about clear seeing as the essence of awakening. Ordinarily, we do not see life directly. Experience is filtered through accumulated memories, beliefs, fears, preferences, judgments, and the continual reference point of “me.” Everything becomes my thought, my feeling, my problem, myexperience—and in this claiming, the sense of a separate self is continually reinforced. Clear seeing belongs to a different order. Awareness does not compare, categorize, judge, or interfere. It simply allows what arises to be as it is. Amoda explores this as a soft inner gaze—a willingness to meet experience without following the habitual movement toward grasping or rejection. This is the “soft stop”: not suppression, passivity, or withdrawal, but the ending of the momentum that turns experience into resistance, judgment, and separation. As this self-referencing activity softens, the center of “me” gradually comes undone. Life comes closer. Presence becomes more immediate and alive. And when the distance between self and life collapses, love is revealed—not as an emotion to cultivate, but as the natural fragrance of undivided awareness. Ultimately, clear seeing asks for no method and no attempt to manufacture awakening. There is simply the willingness to let it be. As Amoda says, “Truth reveals itself when the self is empty.”

Episode 71: The Quietness of Awakening: Amoda Maa on Suffering, Surrender & Freedom
In this beautiful and intimate conversation, Amoda Maa explores the quietness at the center of being and the deeper realization that true peace is not the absence of movement, emotion, or difficulty. Beginning with her recent writing on the quiet radiance of presence, Amoda speaks about the ways resistance, craving, avoidance, and the inner argument with life sustain the sense of a separate self. Quietness is not something we create or force. It is revealed when this inner movement begins to soften. The conversation then opens into a more personal exploration of Amoda’s own awakening. She speaks about the period in which suffering became unhooked from the circumstances of her life, leading to the deeper question: What is the nature of suffering itself? Through this inquiry, she began to see the subtle movement of craving and aversion and the way the self becomes identified with inner states. Eventually, in what she describes as an “absolute stop,” the familiar center of self fell away. Amoda and Kavi explore how awakening is not necessarily dramatic or extraordinary. At its heart, it is quiet. The movement of life continues, but something essential remains untouched. This is a tender conversation about suffering, surrender, direct realization, causeless joy, and the quiet radiance that shines when the self is no longer at the center.

Beyond the Practice of Presence
Presence is often treated as something we must cultivate through effort or practice. In this discourse, Amoda Maa points to a deeper recognition: presence is not something we achieve, but the ever-present openness in which all experience already appears. As identification with the story of "me" begins to soften, we discover that awareness remains unchanged by thoughts, emotions, or circumstances. This recognition is available not only in meditation, but in the ordinary moments of everyday life, revealing a freedom that is found within experience rather than apart from it. This discourse was given at an Online Public Meeting held in July 2026.

Episode 70: Coming Home to the Clear Light of Being
In this opening discourse from Amoda Maa’s first seven-day retreat in Europe, Amoda invites us to discover the clear light of being—not as a mystical experience or future achievement, but as the ever-present awareness already here beneath thought, emotion, sensation, and circumstance. Awakening is revealed as a quiet but profound shift: from being defined by the story of “me” to resting in that which is unbound by any story or experience. As the effort to become, improve, reject, or grasp begins to soften, a deeper freedom becomes available—not freedom from life, but freedom within life. This episode also includes an offering of original poetry from Kavi on silence, surrender, and the remembrance that we have never truly left home. Recorded live during the opening session of the seven-day retreat at Koningsteen Center in Belgium in July 2026.

The Presence That Is Always Here
In this bonus podcast, Amoda points to the quiet truth of being that remains when the layers of identity begin to loosen. As we stop deriving our sense of self from biography, memory, body, thought, and feeling, a deeper knowing comes into the foreground: the simple presence of I AM. Amoda explores how this recognition often begins as witness consciousness—the sense of being aware of experience rather than entangled in it. But the deeper invitation is to look more closely and ask whether this witness can actually be found. Is there truly someone standing apart from life, watching it all unfold? Through this inquiry, the distance between awareness and experience begins to dissolve. What remains is not a separate observer, but an all-pervading presence that cannot be gained, practiced, or possessed. Presence simply is. And in this wordless recognition, what we may call God is revealed as the seamless field of being itself.

Episode 69: The Freedom of Not Knowing
In this conversation, Amoda Maa explores what it means to live beyond the psychological need for certainty. While practical planning has its place, much of our inner suffering comes from the mind's constant attempt to predict, control, and negotiate with life. Together, Kavi and Amoda explore the difference between practical knowing and the deeper freedom of not knowing. They discuss how the separate self is built upon imagined futures, remembered pasts, and the need to secure an outcome, while true presence invites us into a direct intimacy with life as it unfolds. The conversation touches on fear, trust, identity, the nature of awareness, and the subtle "buffer zone" of interpretation that separates us from immediate experience. Rather than offering another method, this episode points toward a quieter way of living—one that trusts the natural intelligence of life beyond the grasping mind. If you've ever struggled with uncertainty, overthinking, or the need to control what comes next, this conversation offers a fresh perspective on meeting life with openness, clarity, and freedom.

The Quiet Radiance of Being | Everything Belongs
In this bonus episode, Amoda offers a discourse from The Radiance of Being online retreat (November 2025). She explores what it truly means to welcome life as it is. Far beyond a spiritual practice or technique, welcoming everything is revealed as a way of living—an attitude of openness that allows the light of being to shine through all experience. Amoda points to the subtle resistance that creates suffering and reinforces the sense of a separate self. Through a softening of rejection, judgment, and the need for life to be different, we begin to discover a deeper intimacy with reality. Joy and sorrow, silence and noise, peace and turbulence all arise within the same field of awareness and share the same underlying radiance. This talk invites us to recognize that nothing is outside the light of being. Every experience, no matter how ordinary or challenging, can become a doorway to the sacred when met without resistance. As the boundaries of self soften, life is no longer experienced as something to struggle against, but as an expression of a deeper unity. In this openness, we discover the stillness within movement, the silence within sound, and the presence of the divine in all things.

Seeing Through the Veil of Separation
In this bonus episode from The Radiance of Being online retreat (November 2025), Amoda explores one of the deepest assumptions of the human mind: the belief that we are separate individuals moving through a world that exists outside of us. Through gentle inquiry, she invites us to examine this unchallenged sense of "me" and discover that what we take ourselves to be is not a fixed identity, but a constantly changing pattern of thoughts, emotions, sensations, and memories. As these shifting experiences are seen more clearly, another possibility begins to reveal itself: the quiet, ever-present awareness within which all experience arises. From this recognition, the veil of separation gradually becomes transparent. Life is no longer lived from fear, contraction, or self-protection, but from an effortless openness that allows greater clarity, compassion, and freedom. This is not an invitation to adopt a new philosophy or spiritual belief, but to discover directly the undivided field of being that has always been here. As the illusion of separation softens, what remains is the light of being itself—the peace, love, and freedom that are never truly absent.

The Willingness to End Resistance
In this bonus episode from The Unveiling the Self Online Retreat, Amoda Maa explores the profound freedom that becomes available when we stop resisting our experience. Much of human life is spent trying to manage, improve, avoid, suppress, or control what arises within us. We resist thoughts, emotions, memories, sensations, and circumstances, believing that peace lies somewhere beyond them. Amoda reveals how this constant interference creates the very sense of separation and suffering we long to escape. Through clear and practical insight, she points to the possibility of meeting each moment without interpretation, categorization, or resistance. This simple yet radical willingness allows the false structures of identity to gradually dissolve. Using the metaphor of the open sky, Amoda invites us to discover a presence that includes everything yet remains untouched by passing experiences. Rather than turning away from life, true freedom is found through intimacy with it. In the freshness of each moment, awareness recognizes itself, and the self-made prison begins to fall away.

Episode 67: A Peace Beyond Understanding
What is true peace — and can it be discovered in the midst of life’s uncertainty, conflict, and disturbance? This episode of Conversations with Amoda Maa explores the nature of true peace — not as a temporary state of calm, emotional comfort, or the absence of difficulty, but as the deeper ground of being that remains untouched in the midst of life’s turbulence. In conversation with Kavi, Amoda inquires into the difference between seeking peace through control, withdrawal, or ideal conditions, and discovering the peace that is already present beneath inner resistance and the movement of the separate self. Amoda points to “the peace that passes understanding” — a peace beyond mental concepts, beyond the acquisitive mind, and beyond the endless attempt to manage experience. The conversation explores how inner conflict perpetuates suffering, why resistance itself becomes a subtle form of violence toward what is, and how genuine peace begins with the ending of the inner argument. Rather than pointing to spiritual bypassing or detachment from the world, this dialogue reveals how true peace allows us to meet life, suffering, relationship, and uncertainty from a deeper ground of openness, quietness, and compassion. The episode also touches on awakening, the undoing of the separate self, social responsibility, and the importance of living inquiry rather than striving for a perfected spiritual persona. Peace is not dependent on future circumstances. It is available now, through the willingness to soften resistance and meet experience directly. The episode concludes with a gentle contemplative invitation into presence and inner quietness.

What Is Closer Than Your Seeking?
In this short discourse, Amoda Maa explores one of the most common misunderstandings on the spiritual path: the belief that awakening is a special experience to be attained in the future. She gently reveals that all experiences — thoughts, emotions, sensations, even states of bliss or peace — come and go. True awakening, she explains, is not another passing state, but the recognition of the ever-present ground of being itself. Rather than searching for a future experience or higher consciousness, Amoda invites us to turn inward and examine the one who is seeking. Through direct inquiry and intimate self-exploration, the whole mechanism of seeking begins to soften. What is discovered is not something new or extraordinary, but the simple clarity of that which has always been here and can never be lost. This discourse points to the profound relief and freedom that comes when we stop chasing awakening as an attainment and recognize the timeless awareness within which all experience appears and disappears.

In this conversation, Amoda Maa and Kavi explore the nature of seeking and the possibility of its end. What often begins as a genuine longing for truth, peace, or fulfillment can gradually become an endless movement, driven by the belief that something is missing and must be found. Together, they explore the subtle shift from seeking in time toward the direct recognition of what is already here. Through self-inquiry, a deeper question emerges: Who is the one that seeks? And what remains when this movement begins to fall away? Pointing beyond the idea of a “better self” or future attainment, this dialogue reveals a deeper dimension of being that is ever-present, unmoving, and whole. Far from leading to detachment or indifference, this realization opens into a profound intimacy with life—free from restlessness, yet fully alive. A contemplative and nuanced exploration of the end of seeking, and the discovery of what has never been lost.

Die Before You Die | The End of the Self and the Discovery of Freedom
This episode features a discourse from Amoda Maa’s online program Die Before You Die, offering a profound and intimate exploration into the nature of death, self, and true freedom. Rather than pointing to physical death, this teaching reveals a psychological ending—the dissolution of the accumulated self made of beliefs, fears, memories, and identities. Through direct contemplation, Amoda gently dismantles our assumptions about life and death, showing that both are rooted in impermanence and are not opposites, but expressions of the same movement. As we begin to see that what we fear is not death itself but our imagined ideas about it, a deeper possibility opens. The invitation is to meet this moment without carrying the past, without clinging to concepts of who we are. In this naked, unguarded presence, something timeless begins to reveal itself. This is not a philosophy or belief system, but a living inquiry—one that can dissolve fear, awaken true aliveness, and uncover a freedom that is already here.

To Know God, You Must Welcome Everything
This special bonus episode from Amoda Maa explores the nature of God, not as a distant entity or belief system, but as the very fabric of existence itself. Through a non-dual lens, Amoda gently dismantles the deeply conditioned sense of separation that shapes human experience—the belief that we are somehow apart from life, from each other, or from the divine. She reveals how both belief in God and denial of God can function as veils when rooted in unexamined identity. At the heart of this discourse is a radical invitation: to recognize that nothing is separate, and that each of us is a living focal point through which the totality of being comes to know itself. From this perspective, every moment, every experience, becomes a doorway into direct knowing. Rather than seeking God as something beyond or higher, Amoda points us back to the immediacy of experience—where the transcendent and the immanent are not two, but one living reality. The path is not one of attainment, but of seeing clearly, of allowing the veils of fear, belief, and identity to dissolve. This episode culminates in a profound and simple pointer: to know God, we must be willing to welcome everything.

Beyond Mindfulness: Discovering Awareness Itself

Beyond Mindfulness: Discovering Awareness Itself
In this contemplative inquiry, Amoda invites us beyond the familiar practice of mindfulness and into a deeper recognition: awareness itself. Most of us live immersed in the content of experience—thoughts, emotions, sensations—rarely questioning the field in which all of this appears. Through gentle guidance and direct questioning, this meditation begins to loosen the habitual identification with experience and turns attention toward the very nature of awareness. Is awareness something located in the body or mind? Does it have a boundary? Can it be found, contained, or divided into inner and outer? Using the metaphor of waves and the ocean, Amoda reveals how the changing content of experience can never provide lasting fulfillment, while the ever-present field of awareness remains constant, open, and untouched. As this recognition deepens, a natural equanimity begins to emerge—less driven by grasping or resistance, and more rooted in the unchanging ground of being. This is not a meditation aimed at achieving a particular state, but an invitation to look directly and discover what has always been here. This clip was taken from an online program, 2024.

The Emptiness at the Heart of Being
In this talk, Amoda Maa speaks about what many on the spiritual path secretly dread — the emptiness at the heart of being. We spend much of life trying to avoid it, filling the silence with thought, emotion, activity, even spiritual practices. Yet what we fear as emptiness is not a lifeless void, but the very ground of existence — the living presence out of which everything arises. Amoda reveals that this “void” is not the end of you, but the end of the false self — the collapse of identities, concepts, and imagined meaning. What remains is a simple, undeniable aliveness: vast, intimate, and free. To no longer fear emptiness is to come home. There is no edge, no boundary, no separate self — only the stillness that holds everything in itself. This discourse is taken from the 7-day retreat at Borden Estate, New York, September 2025.

Episode 65: The Ego Is Not a Thing — Seeing Through the Sense of Self
In this episode of Conversations with Amoda Maa, Amoda and Kavi explore one of the most misunderstood topics on the spiritual path: the ego. Rather than something solid that must be destroyed, the ego is revealed as an activity of resistance within the mind — the movement of grasping toward experience or pushing it away. This movement creates the sense of a separate self and becomes the root of psychological suffering. The conversation looks at the difference between the functional sense of self, which allows us to live and relate in the world, and the psychological identity that becomes caught in comparison, defense, and control. From this perspective, awakening is not about eliminating the ego, but seeing through the mechanism of identification. They also explore the direct path — the recognition of awareness that is already present — and why glimpses of awakening may seem to come and go. The deeper invitation is not to recreate special experiences, but to meet life directly, as it is, in each moment. This dialogue reflects on surrender, identity, and the mysterious ways awakening unfolds, pointing again and again to the simple discovery of our true nature beyond the self-image we take ourselves to be.

After Awakening — Living Realization in Ordinary Life
After awakening, a natural question often arises: how does realization live itself out in ordinary life? In this bonus episode, Amoda Maa explores the integration of awakening not as effort or self-improvement, but as the natural permeation of realization into work, relationships, money, and everyday living. There is nothing to manage and no spiritual identity to construct. As awareness stabilizes, the old patterns of seeking approval, distraction, or fulfillment from outside gradually lose their hold. Embodied awakening is not withdrawal from life, nor indulgence in it. It is realization quietly lived through form — a freedom that expresses itself in the midst of ordinary life.

What is the true feminine and masculine in awakening — and how have these principles become distorted in both women and men? In this intimate conversation, Amoda and Kavi explore the feminine as openness and uncompromising presence, and the masculine as clarity and service — not as identities, but as expressions of consciousness itself. Together they examine how distortion arises through ego-identification, how love withdraws in the face of domination, and how embodied awakening restores a natural harmony between these qualities. This is transcendence not as escape from life, but as realization lived fully through form. This discourse was taken from a recent in-person retreat in North Carolina, 2026, USA.

Episode 62: Do You Need a Guru to Awaken? - Osho, Transmission and the Field of Love
In this episode Amoda and Kavi explore a question that has echoed through the centuries of spiritual seeking: Do you need a guru to awaken? Throughout history, seekers have gathered around teachers, mystics, masters — drawn by something intangible, something alive. Amoda spent time at the Osho Ashram in Pune in the years after Osho had left the body, immersed in his teachings and the field that remained. In this conversation, we explore her experience there, the role of the guru, the power and danger of projection, and what it truly means to awaken. Is the guru a necessity — or a mirror? And what is the true source of awakening? Some of the questions we explored: Do you actually need a guru to awaken? What is a guru, really? Is awakening dependent on another, or is it always within oneself? What drew you to Osho’s teachings after he had left the body? What was happening in you that longed for guidance or direction? Did you feel you were seeking a guru — or something deeper?

Recognition shows us that our true nature is awareness. Embodiment asks: How do I live this in the chaos, beauty, and unpredictability of being human? Embodiment is an ongoing journey — not a final state. It is the gentle returning, again and again, to the silent radiance that is always here. Episode 60: Does Enlightenment Lead to a Perfect Life?
A special episode: In this talk, Amoda Maa dismantles the persistent myth that awakening or enlightenment delivers a perfect, pain-free, or effortless life. Awakening does not eliminate life’s polarity—its ups and downs, birth and death, pleasure and pain. What fundamentally changes is the end of resistance. When there is no longer a separate self opposing experience, a deep peace and acceptance arise that are not dependent on circumstances. From this absence of resistance, life may or may not change externally. Safety and comfort are discovered as inherent in being itself, not produced by conditions. This is a different understanding of perfection—not a flawless life, but a wholehearted intimacy with life as it is, beyond duality, beyond expectation. In this episode of 'Conversations with Amoda Maa,' Amoda and Kavi explore what she calls the “light (radiance) of being”—our essential, quality-less nature that’s prior to personality, thought, emotion, and circumstance. Amoda clarifies that “light” isn’t a special effect or perfected persona; it’s the ever-present transparency of awareness that remains when all experiences pass. The conversation unpacks how veils of conditioning (guilt, shame, unworthiness, grievance, the acquisitive ego) obscure this radiance, and how glimpses often arise in shock, beauty, or profound presence when the mind stops referencing. Awakening is both sudden and gradual: nothing outward needs to change, yet life is revolutionized from grasping and drama to a lightness of being—an ordinary, intimate openness that meets daily life without seeking the next moment for fulfillment. They touch on the potency of the shared field in gatherings, the end of horizontal seeking, and the simple inner inquiry: “What remains when experience passes?” The episode closes with a note about Amoda’s forthcoming book, Unveiling the Light of Being, and upcoming events.
