Thou Shall Learn From My 20s
Academy-Award winning actress Regina King had this to say about her 20s: βI feel like Iβm so much more interesting now, as a soon-to-be-50-year-old woman, than I was at 25. I can bring so much more to the table. You may not have the stamina that you had at 25, but what you know now? So much better.β King is right. In your 20s, youβre just beginning to figure things out. This decade of life is about making stupid mistakes β but not to the point where you never recover from them. In your 30s, you often get to know yourself more and life gets better. If, like King suggests, life is more interesting after your 20s, then maybe we all get more interesting as we age. In this episode, Satta, 38, and Jaretta, 31, recap the foolishness of their 20s and the commandments they want to live by in their 30s (and beyond). They also discuss: People Pleasing Infidelity Long Distance Relationships The Great Recession Age Gaps Authenticity Friendships Accountability Fiscally stable Meditation Healthy Eating Honorable Mentions Question of the Episode: What life lessons did you learn in your 20s?
