Here's where we tell you how to find the recipe for The Bengal Tiger, the tales we told, and the podcast we mentioned! The Booze: The Bengal Tiger -50 ml White rum -10 ml Brandy -60 ml Pineapple juice -20 ml Pomegranate juice -Sweet and Sour mix to taste -Garnish with Gondhoraj lebu slice (or lime) In a shaker filled with ice pour the juices, the white rum, and the brandy, along with some sweet and sour mix, and shake. Pour the mixture into a tall glass filled with ice. Garnish with a wedge of gondhoraj lebu, twist a peel over the drink, and rub the peel on the rim of the glass for freshness and aroma. What's a Gondhoraj lebu? A unique lime that you may not be able to find outside of India, but by all accounts it is absolutely delicious. We weren't able to find one because we live in UTAH but we used a regular lime instead and it's super yummy! Here's where we tell you how to find the recipe for Manhattan, the tales we told, and the podcast we mentioned! The Booze: Manhattan -2 oz bourbon (we’re using bourbon, but you could use rye whiskey if you prefer) -1 oz sweet vermouth -2 dashes of bitters Pour bourbon, vermouth, and bitters in a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Stir well and strain into glass, garnish with a cherry or orange peel. The flavor of this drink can really change depending on the types of bourbon and vermouth you use, so we recommend experimenting. We’re using Maker’s Mark and Carpano Antica Formula (an Italian Vermouth). Manhattans were originally made with rye but the bourbon version has risen in popularity, and was recommended to us by our resident cocktail expert, Anubis. The Booze: Mint Julep - 2 1/2 oz bourbon - 2 sugar cubes or 1/2 oz simple syrup (or mint simple syrup if you're feeling fancy). Recipe link in show notes - 4-5 mint sprigs (more or less is fine - up to you) Place mint and sugar or simple syrup into a glass (classically served in a frosted silver julep cup, but whatever you have is fine). Muddle well (but gently so the leaves don't break up too much) to dissolve the sugar and release the oil in the mint. You may need to add a tiny bit of water to dissolve the sugar if you're not using simple syrup. Add the bourbon (one you love the flavor of, as it's mainly what you'll taste), and fill the glass with crushed ice. Stir until the glass becomes frosty, and then garnish with a mint sprig.
