199: Letting Go and Leading Forward: Embracing the New Paradigm
Let go, trust, transcend, lead. These four words hold immense power and significance in our journey towards personal and collective growth. Today, I delve into the importance of embracing these principles in order to navigate the current energetic shifts and step into a new paradigm of leadership and life. We often hold onto things that are good, but not necessarily great. This episode encourages you to release anything that no longer serves your highest purpose and step into a new chapter that is more aligned with your authentic self. It's time to shed old beliefs, patterns, and relationships that no longer support your growth and embrace a life built on the foundation of the heart. The collective energy has been undergoing a major shift, with a focus on clearing out karma, ancestral trauma, and fear-based beliefs. Join me as we explore the importance of recognizing and releasing these deeply ingrained patterns that hold us back from reaching our full potential. By doing so, we can create space for new possibilities and pave the way for a more empowered and transcendent leadership journey. I also share some exciting news about the future of the show! 197: From Comparison to Connection: Embracing Authenticity & Feminine Energy with Amy Natalie
Competition has long been ingrained in our society, particularly among women. From a young age, we are taught to compare ourselves to others, to strive to be better, and to believe that there is only room for one at the top. This toxic mindset has created a culture of competition and comparison, where women feel the need to constantly prove themselves and tear each other down in order to succeed. However, there is a shift happening. In this juicy episode, I had the pleasure of welcoming Amy Natalie, a Women's Empowerment Coach and Feminine Embodiment Guide. Amy has over a decade of coaching experience and specializes in helping women emerge as the most authentic, confident, and self-expressed versions of themselves. She believes that when we tap into our true selves, we can live a life of freedom, pleasure, and purpose. This episode will inspire you to embrace your uniqueness and step into your power unapologetically. Amy creates transformative spaces for women to experience radical healing and deep soul connection through her retreats. During our conversation, she shares her wisdom on how to tap into your feminine power and create a life of joy and fulfillment. You'll walk away with practical tips and insights on how to cultivate a deeper connection with yourself and others. I cannot express enough how much I enjoyed this conversation with Amy. And when we can peel back that layer and really be seen and witnessed in that, we can dissolve the shame around it. When we hear other women speaking, what's going on for them, we're like, oh, okay, we're a lot more similar than I thought. And that's where a lot of the deep healing can happen." [00:06:40] – Amy Natalie "I think that when I say like safety is cultivated from within, it really is about being in the body. And a lot of the work that I do is around embodiment because our nervous system lives in our body. Our intuition lives in our body. Our truth lives in our body. And in our culture, we're so living from the neck up." 195: From Scarcity to Abundance: 5 Lessons I Learned from Embracing Scarcity
Scarcity is often seen as a negative and undesirable state to be in. It is associated with lack, limitation, and a sense of not having enough. However, in today’s episode, I challenge this perception and suggest that scarcity can actually teach us self-love. Scarcity is not primarily about money and material possessions, but rather about our beliefs and mindset. Through my own experiences and insights, I’ll be sharing how scarcity can be a catalyst for personal growth and transformation. By embracing scarcity and understanding its role in our lives, we can extract valuable lessons and transform our relationship with wealth and abundance. This episode is particularly special to me because it reminds us that success is not solely defined by external factors such as money or material possessions. Rather, it is about finding ease, peace, and joy in the present moment. It's an inside job that requires us to work on our emotional well-being and personal growth. When we focus on our emotional and nervous system capacity, we can create sustainable success in all areas of our lives. I would love to hear your thoughts on this episode. Please feel free to share your feedback in your stories, emails, or even with a friend through a text message. Your support means the world to me, and it helps us spread these empowering messages to a wider audience. Key Takeaways [00:01:51] Seasons of growth and ease. [00:04:28] Scarcity and money mindset. [00:09:08] Resonance with toxic relationships. [00:14:30] Scarcity and not feeling enough. [00:19:37] Success is an inside job. [00:21:07] Redefining success and finding peace. [00:26:38] Self-love in moments of scarcity. [00:30:20] The power of resonance. [00:34:21] The well-roundedness of all of your life. [00:37:25] Scarcity and personal growth. Memorable Quotes "Scarcity has taught me that I was believing that I am not enough, that I will never have enough and no one else will also be enough for me. So, whether that's in partnership, whether that's in my coaching relationships, whether that's with my parents, it has shown up for me in a way of seeing the world through the lens of scarcity, seeing that the belief system that was operating was of not enough.” [00:14:30] – Carissa Johnsen "I am a success because I claim that I am because I know that I am. Why my definition of success was so warped is because it was so tied to money." 194: Embodying and Awakening Grace in the Heart: Opening Space for Transformation

194: Embodying and Awakening Grace in the Heart: Opening Space for Transformation
Did you know that my name, Carissa, actually means grace? Grace is not just a word; it's a frequency, a way of being. It's about living a graceful life, sharing gracefully, and embodying that energy in all aspects of our lives. When we tap into grace, everything feels peaceful and aligned. It's a journey of reconnecting with our soul wisdom and finding peace within ourselves. Success, to me, is synonymous with peace. If we are at peace, we are succeeding. Let's rewrite our version of success and allow old paradigms to crumble. In this week's episode, I dive deep into the profound concept of grace. Our journey towards experiencing our truest divinity and living from the heart space continues, and I can't wait to share these incredible insights with you all. Remember, the heart is the medium, the bridge between worlds. It's not something we find in the mind but rather awaken in the heart. As we listen to our hearts and get curious about grace, we tap into its transformative power. Let's explore what comes alive within us and embrace this beautiful journey of self-discovery. In these transformative times, living a graceful life becomes even more crucial. As we navigate the changes and challenges that lie ahead, sharing grace with one another and embodying that frequency will be our guiding light. Let's remember what is most important to us and embrace the power of grace in our daily lives. Together, we can create a more peaceful and graceful world. If you're ready to invite grace into your life and leadership, I invite you to listen to this episode now! Key Takeaways [00:01:06] Grace and its significance. [00:06:41] Asking for grace. [00:07:19] Embody grace and offer love. [00:11:09] The reciprocity of grace. [00:12:35] Grace is the bridge to love. [00:18:40] Making space for grace. [00:21:33] Living in the space of grace. [00:24:09] Success defined as peace. Memorable Quotes "Grace is the antidote for accessing love. Because sometimes it's hard to go from “I'm angry” to “I’m loving”. And if we can't access that state of consciousness, if we can't access that belief, if we can't tap into that, I think grace becomes the river, the water, the buoyancy, the boundlessness, the raft that we take on our journey to arriving at love.” [00:12:35] – Carissa Johnsen "How do I receive this frequency? How do I embody this in my life? The truth is you have to make space for it. It's part of the reason why I've been pausing every three hours, four or three minutes, because space cannot, Grace cannot enter a full cup." 193: A Journey Towards Healing and Growth: Discovering the Miracles of Life Through Forgiveness
I am back recording in my home space, bringing you the raw and vulnerable moments of my life! Tune in as I open up about the challenges I face in finding the balance between sharing my journey with you all and keeping some aspects of my life private. In this week's episode, I dive deep into two simple yet powerful concepts that have radically changed the trajectory of my life: forgiveness and divine timing. I share my personal journey of growing up with resentment and how I have learned to release it through forgiveness. Remember, forgiveness not only liberates us from the past but also allows us to see the miracles and love in every single thing. I also explore the beauty of divine timing and the surrender it requires. Life is a journey, and sometimes we find ourselves going through challenging seasons. However, it's crucial to trust in the divine timing of it all. By surrendering to the process and having the courage to face our raw and vulnerable moments, we can come out on the other side stronger and wiser. Lastly, I explore the essence of transcendent leadership itself. It's a beautiful blend of humility, vulnerability, and the courage to walk this path with grace. As leaders, it's crucial to recognize that we are human too, and by embracing our own humanity, we can create a safe and authentic space for others to do the same. I am beyond excited to share these insights and experiences with you all! This episode is a testament to the incredible growth and transformation that can occur when we open ourselves up to the power of forgiveness and divine timing. Key Takeaways [00:01:08] Finding balance. [00:01:59] Transcendent leadership and divine timing. [00:05:28] Relationship with Jesus/Yeshua. [00:06:32] Forgiveness is transformative and liberating. [00:13:46] Letting go. [00:14:37] Unconditional love. [00:19:13] Forgiving oneself and others. [00:26:45] The simplicity of forgiveness. [00:29:11] Forgiveness and miracles. Memorable Quotes "And it really reminds me of the state the statement like, ‘you can forgive but never forget.’ Why would we not want to forget it? Why would we not want that imprint to be dissolved? Why would we not want it to be rid ourselves of it? I want to forget these things, that doesn't mean that I didn't extract the lesson which I think is the ultimate higher purpose.” [00:10:59] – Carissa Johnsen "Everything is a miracle. I am literally walking in a living miracle. That’s what forgiveness gives you. You get to see the miracle, the divinity, the love in every single thing." 191: The Power of Healing and Breaking Cycles: Finding Clarity and Transformation Through Family Relationships
Today, I want to dive deep into a topic that hits close to home for many of us - family. Family dynamics shape personal growth in profound ways. Our families are the first and most influential social systems we encounter, and they play a significant role in shaping our beliefs, values, and behaviors. This episode highlights the transformative power of family dynamics and the lessons they offer. I’m sharing my personal experiences and the profound lessons I've learned while visiting my family in Illinois. Spending time with loved ones or family gatherings can often be triggering and bring up deep-seated wounds and challenges. But here's the beautiful paradox – being with family also offers the deepest and greatest medicine for healing and transformation. We'll explore how confronting these triggers can ultimately lead to healing and growth, not just within ourselves, but also in our relationships with others. I invite you to join me as I explore the power of healing within our families and the impact it can have on our lives. Discover how taking responsibility for our own healing can lead to profound shifts in our relationships with loved ones. As we heal ourselves, we often witness a cellular-level transformation in our family dynamics. Remember, how we lead ourselves and our families is the greatest form of leadership. By cultivating awareness and truth within ourselves, we can uncover areas where we may be avoiding healing, judging, or projecting onto our family members. This self-reflection will provide valuable insights into our own healing journey and deepest transformation. Key Takeaways [00:04:18] Rewriting my definition of success. [00:05:22] Family dynamics shape our paths. [00:06:09] Authenticity and ancestral healing. [00:13:28] Ancestral healing heals ourselves and our family. [00:14:28] Healing within your family. [00:17:25] Healing starts with self-awareness. [00:19:06] Healing within family dynamics. [00:20:31] Healing is a gradual process. Memorable Quotes "And once I realized that the healing is my responsibility and that I am not obliged or responsible for changing anyone else, it gave me a sense of relief. And not only did it give me a sense of relief, but as I went deeper with my own healing, my family started to change on a cellular level and the way that I relate to them also changed.” [00:15:27] – Carissa Johnsen "There's been a restructuring of DNA within all of us. This is why when we talk about healing on the collective level, it starts with us because we are all created from the same source. We are all made of the same fabric. So, as I heal, my healing is your healing. We are raising the consciousness of the entire collective one by one, breath by breath, heart by heart, ceremony by ceremony." We will dive into the transformational lessons that I learned as I was immersed into an event containing over 300+ international leaders, business, and personal development experts. Spoiler alert- uncomfortable edges were met! I went into the event with certain desires, and subconscious expectations for what I wanted to get out of it. I certainly did not get what I asked for, but instead, got messages of deep guidance that upon reflection was what I truly needed on the path to my deepest desires. Together we will reflect on the most impactful personal and business lessons that I accumulated during this experience! I’m gonna be on or off, and this dualistic thinking is really limiting our full spectrum experience.” [5:52] -Carissa Johnsen “Transformation without integration will lead you to frustration, and it will lead you to: I need more events, I need more books, I need more plant medicine, I need more, more, more. Does the validation of others define your value? You cannot escape your human nature of desire, but in this episode of Transcendent Leadership, I show you how to find a balance between your desires and heart-centered leadership. Go beyond duality to discover the true nature of reality because nothing is entirely good or bad. I share my journey of healing my wounds around self-love and people-pleasing. In the public eye, these characteristics manifest into a need to be liked, get likes, and prevent you from creating from your heart. Today I encourage you to question your motivations, and get to the core of why you do what you do, post what you post, and believe what you believe. You do not need to be liked by everyone because everyone is on their unique timeline for transformation. If you allow outside opinions to change how you express yourself, you deny the collective consciousness of knowledge that could impact the minds and hearts of this generation. This episode will shift your mindset and help you get clarity on the impact you want to have on this world. Truth is powerful, and it will set you free. How many likes do I have? How many followers do I have? How big is my email list? How much money is in the bank? Always quantifying my value based on something outside of me.” [12:27] -Carissa Johnsen “When I think about the impact that I desire to make, which still gets to exist. I don’t want to get rid of: ok we don’t want to desire any of these things, that’s bypassing our human nature, this part of me that wants to be of service, that wants wealth this gets to exist here simultaneously, but the other side of the coin is not letting it be the driving force.” [16:07] -Carissa Johnsen

180: Five Steps to Cultivate Your Relationship With God
Today on Transcendent Leadership, I equip you with five steps to cultivate your relationship with God and give you the tools to overcome your inner conflict with ego and intuition. I realized that I was bulldozing my way through life, unable to trust my gut and connect with God. The need to control every aspect of life separates you from the divine gifts designed for you. Once you surrender control to a higher power, life gets easier. Faith is the foundation of your relationship with the creator. Life will always unfold in your favor if you learn to listen to your intuition and trust in God. I teach you how to overcome decision fatigue by allowing God to guide you instead of managing life on your own. With God on your side, you can have a more organic impact on the world as a transcendent leader. As you develop your relationship with a higher power, you will feel a shift in your energy. Your capacity will increase, and it will become easier to reject the things not in alignment with your higher self. If you are willing and ready to accept guidance from a higher power, listen now! As the collective rises, we all rise together, so it’s this inherent knowing that we are connected to the same level of consciousness.” [9:17] -Carissa Johnsen “I lean into the and accept the suffering because I trust what is the divine orchestration of life. I trust that everything is happening in my favor, and it is only when we resist that we are led to our coping mechanisms.” [15:48] -Carissa Johnsen

175: Living A Spirit Led Life
Do you feel like you are always forcing your way through life? In today’s episode, I teach you how to tap into your relationship with God in order to live a spirit-led life. In quantum reality, time does not exist because it is really the amalgamation of your present, past, and future timelines experienced all at once. By following your intuition and tapping into the guidance that you are receiving, you will begin to understand that every obstacle is an opportunity to resolve your trauma. If you are not trusting God’s voice, which speaks to you through your intuition, you can get stuck in ceaseless lessons unlearned. Once you surrender to trusting this guidance, you can enter into a new season of expedited growth and expansion! Key Takeaways: [3:15] Designating a sacred space in your home for prayer [7:00] In moments of transformation your guides may take a step back [9:00] If you don’t want the truth don’t ask god [13:00] In the quantum time does not exist [14:00] Remember that God is not outside you he is within you [18:00] It will feel graceful 80% of the time [20:00] Accepting that you have created this experience [21:20] Shifting into gratitude that you have the opportunity to resolve your trauma [23:40] Cultivate your relationship with God [28:45] Our intuition is often guidance from ancestors, angels and guides [30:50] Trusting and acting on divine timing [32:10] Nothing needs to be forced because you are already being guided Memorable Quotes: “If you are in a season of transformation or transition you might experience your gifts or your connection, it might lessen. It might not be as strong and that’s sometimes because our guides take a step back, sometimes we might be in a low vibration of grief or anger.” [7:10] “In the quantum, there is no such thing as time. If you can access the frequency of what it’s like to be a millionaire or be in your purpose and you can stay in that frequency, which sometimes feels hard for people, you can literally attract it like that!” [13:45] “This is my highest and best and if it wasn’t, it wouldn’t be happening. So there is this balance between knowing that you have, on some level, created this experience.” [20:30] “There is a part of you that knows that you need to experience this again so you are given an invitation and opportunity to choose differently so that you can heal it…instead of getting mad about why you keep attracting the same situation, if you can shift into gratitude that you have yet another opportunity to heal and to completely resolve the trauma.” [21:25] “If you think God is going to come into your life and save you from your own limiting beliefs and projections and healing and trauma. I'm gonna lovingly invite you to really think about the fact that you have to also show up for the relationship and it takes energy and it takes time and it takes effort.” [26:10] Are you a spiritual leader and you would like to be a guest on the Freedom Designers podcast? They were in communities. 171: The Power Of Patience

171: The Power Of Patience
If you are a high achiever you may not be accustomed to periods of uncertainty. Today, I am amidst my own hiatus and I want to speak to you about the profound change that happens once you let go of resistance and accept your situation. I have discovered that confusion is the result of denial of your true desires, this is why I believe acceptance is the key to moving through moments of uncertainty. If you are constantly pushing forward without pausing to recenter yourself, you are not leaving much space for guidance. In this episode I am sharing simple questions to ask yourself in moments of uncertainty, to help you determine if you are acting out of fear, resistance or both. Ambition does not leave much time for intermission in life but without stopping for guidance you may be making uninformed decisions based on outdated perceptions of your reality. By mastering patience you will raise your frequency and open yourself up to receiving your full desires. Key Takeaways: [1:30] Feeling creatively blocked [3:00] What does patience actually mean? [3:50] Once you accept your circumstances you have the power to change them [5:40] Using prayer as a tool [6:28] Shifting from resistance to acceptance [6:58] Pain is inevitable but your suffering is optional [7:30] Resistance produces a very low frequency [8:00] When you operate in resistant you cannot expand your consciousness [8:37] Just because you don’t have clarity doesn’t mean it’s your fault [9:40] When you are solution focused you may miss guidance coming to you in a unique form [10:45] Sometimes you just cannot think yourself into clarity [11:00] Confusion happens when we are unwilling to own our full desires [12:08] Determining what is fear and when is a time to be patient [12:25] Great leaders know when to pause, be patient and listen [13:05] Is there desire, resistance or both beneath your decision? [15:20] Deciding when action is required [16:00] Ask yourself if you believe patience is an active or passive process [17:00] It may be time to take a break and release control [17:50] When you are lacking information you cannot make an informed decision [18:20] Lack of clarity is not always your fault Memorable Quotes: “As soon as I shifted from resistance to acceptance, my whole body softened. I was able to be much more present because I was living in the moment and the reality of what is. When we fight the flow of where god, the universe or our body is taking us, that is when we suffer.” [6:28] “When we are in resistance, when we are in fear, when we are in shame, when we are in disappointment, we are vibrating at a very low frequency.” [7:30] “Just because you don’t have clarity doesn’t mean it’s your fault.”[8:37] “We might not have the whole picture yet and if we can accept that we don’t have all the information and that’s why we don’t have clarity and that it’s also not our fault, that is when we can transcend the emotion, the block and that is when we actually become inspired and we feel more motivated and the creativity happens!” [10:14] Know someone that should be on the podcast? As you access greater levels of consciousness and growth, you will realize that you will be invited to and feel inspired to make decisions that don’t make sense.” [7:24] “So much of our suffering comes down to the resistance that we feel based on the expectation that we set.” [9:57] “Sometimes even in the most tragic experiences there is greater meaning and purpose that we don't have the full clarity on, we don’t have the full picture with.” [12:30] Know someone that should be on the podcast?
