Demystifying & Dissolving Tiredness, Fear, Overwhelm, Resistance (Episode 52)
Tired. Scared. Overwhelmed. Resistant. I hated to admit it, but these stopped me in my tracks. A lot! And not because I lacked motivation. On the contrary... ...I had vision, strategy, and a to-do list that would make a CEO sweat. But every time I sat down to do the "big, important, mountain-moving" thing, one of those emotions would show up. And for a while, I thought something was wrong with me. Took some deep work to realize they were rather the invitation... Just recently, I felt them all when I told myself, "It's time to record a new podcast episode, c'mon, think of something. You also have a masterclass coming up, tie that in... And the most expansive, potent and nourishing space you have available to welcome 5 elite clients, chop-chop..." So, I pulled out my phone and recorded my "walking through the demistifying & dissolving" process. These are a few insights I offer if you need them today: ✨ Tiredness taught me to tune into & work with my rhythms—physical, emotional, seasonal, and spiritual. Some days, it was nap-tired. Other days, it was “soul can’t move” tired. Learning the difference saved me from burnout & having to push through more than once. ✨ Fear? That one was layered. It wasn’t fear of failure. It was ancestral fear. Fear of standing out. Fear that no matter what I did, it would never be enough. Until I saw it clearly, I kept holding back—out of protection, not laziness. ✨ Overwhelm? That one came disguised as ambition. I set high goals, not realizing I was drowning under the pressure of proving myself. Even with the best strategy in hand, if the energy behind it was off, nothing landed. ✨ And resistance? Here’s the truth: resistance isn’t always about the bridge—it’s often about the destination. The subconscious fear of what we say we want. More time with family might also mean facing unresolved dynamics. More money might trigger fears of abandonment or being “too much” for your culture or community. That realization changed everything. These aren’t flaws to fix. They’re signs to follow. They’re invitations to soften, reframe, and realign. So if you’re in that space today—where nothing’s wrong, but everything feels hard—I see you. You’re not broken. You’re becoming. And there’s deep power in that. Sara Mentor. Speaker. Writer.
