EP. 31: 5 Cinematic Drone Shots Explained
When creating engaging video content, drone footage can increase the overall impact of your video tenfold! The aerial opportunities are endless, and shot options limitless. But in today's Potratz Pointer, my personal Drove Extraordinaire and Video Producer, Mike, is going to break down 5 shots you need in your next video. #1- The Push In, Pull Out This is the easiest shot to accomplish and is great for drawing focus to your subject. #2- The Rise & Fall This shot gives you a great longitudinal shot of your subject. It's great for creating drama in regards to the size of you subject. #3- The Cinematic Orbit This is the most difficult of the 5 shots, but it allows you to get a 360 view of your subject. With a little practice of your drone controllers, you'll be able to achieve this shot in no time. #4- The Tilt & Push This shot allows you to pan up from the ground, revealing a sweeping panorama shot. #5- The Rise & Pull Out This is a great shot for ending a scene or transitioning from one to the next. This shot requires pulling back from your subject to share a beautiful panorama of your scene. Learn exactly how to execute these shots from our in-house drone pilot, Mike, in today's Potratz Pointer!
