Tips for Realizing Your Good, Better, Best Potential

Tips for Realizing Your Good, Better, Best Potential
I always recall my junior high school journalism teacher challenging us on grammar and content for what we selected to include in the yearbook. He said, “One day this book will be the reflection of your work and the documentation of your classmates dreams so make sure you use good, better, best.” His words stayed with me but, at the time I didn’t realize they were more than a grammar lesson from a funny old man. Most people look back on their life and wonder what they could have accomplished if they’d only been more decisive and committed. You can avoid that kind of regret by choosing to become the best at the thing that brings you joy. Ask yourself, what do you want to master? How can you turn you good into your best? Your greatest potential will involve one of more of your strengths. That is, the thing you’re good at. Most strengths can be applied to any endeavor with a focused approach. Mastery requires commitment. It’s the commitment to develop yourself, overcome obstacles, and to put in the necessary time. It’s not just about effort and skill. It’s about being intentional with time and focusing on successfully reaching the goal. In this episode, I share real and practical tips to help you along the journey of living your good, better, best life. If I can help you realize your best, schedule a time for us talk: bit.ly/DrPJS15

Remaining Productive During The Quarantine
While we're all anxiously awaiting for the country to fully reopen, it's easy to lose our sense of time and at some level ourselves. Days can begin to blend into each other, outfits are less and less coordinated, and hair is frumpy. Following a routine can give us an anchor and greater sense of control over our lives and restore a sense of normality, that not only benefits us ourselves but our families and colleagues. In this episode I offer a few tips to keep you productive during the quarantine and ready to return to full “boss” mode following the pandemic. There are few simple things you can do to make big impacts on your health, mental outlook and effectiveness. Consider adding some physical activity into your schedule - as little as 20 minutes per day will improve your fitness and mental outlook. Building your physical strength is powerful and offers a ton of health benefits. Getting organized and de-cluttering allows us to exert some control over our lives - and therefore feel less helpless! Take steps to not only declutter your space but your mind by reading a good book. Reading builds your mental muscles and makes your conversation and writing more interesting. You can learn new skills and maybe even make yourself more employable. These uncertain times will end. And when it does, you’ll be pleased that you didn’t let the time slip away or get the best of you.
