Across the country, school systems are struggling to ensure all students can benefit from the ‘role model effect’ and the other positive benefits of having teachers that reflect their diversity. Over half of K-12 students are students of color, yet only one in five teachers is a person of color, and less than 2% of teachers are Black men. Join us in a fresh take on the opportunity to ensure a diverse teacher workforce in Edifying Together with Tamir D. Harper. After earning his degree from American University, Tamir has returned home to the city of Philadelphia to teach 8th graders in a West Philly public school. Follow his journey as a new teacher, as he engages in each episode with leading educators of color from across the country - teachers, professors, and leaders, who will provide insights, mentorship, support, and encouragement. Edifying Together, featuring Tamir D. Harper, is a podcast dedicated to empowering teachers of color, brought to you by Edifying Teachers. Edifying Together is an extension of Max Out Time With AJ II's award-winning "Education Reboot" podcast series, created by Arthur Jones II.

Welcome to Inside Matthews, the podcast that brings you closer to the people, places, and organizations that make Matthews the vibrant town it is today. Hosted by Jim Taylor, former four-term Mayor, longtime Commissioner, and devoted champion of the community, this show pulls back the curtain on life in Matthews, from its small-town roots to its exciting future. Jim knows Matthews inside and out, not just from the Boardroom or the Mayor’s chair, but from years of listening, serving, and celebrating alongside his neighbors. With his trademark blend of passion, humor, and down-to-earth storytelling, Jim guides conversations that highlight what makes Matthews special, whether it’s a beloved local tradition, a thriving business, or the stories of everyday residents shaping the town’s future. Each episode, you’ll discover insights you won’t find anywhere else: how Matthews has grown from a cotton and railroad town into a destination all its own, and what lies ahead for this thriving community. It’s about connection, pride, and keeping everyone in the loop. Whether you’ve lived here all your life, just moved in, or simply love the charm of small-town stories with big heart, Inside Matthews will make you feel right at home. Tune in, join the conversation, and experience Matthews, from the inside, out.

How much did High School shape your life? High School Matters is a podcast dedicated to conversations I have with my former High School students where I set out to find out how High School mattered to them both then and now. What I uncover in these conversations is that the persona that these kids created in High School is not exactly what was beneath the surface. Follow on IG @HSMattersPodcast

Conversations with scientists exploring science-based ways to protect the future of our planet, our children, and other creatures that share our World. We live on a planet in crisis. Scientists have warned us about the rapidly increasing dangers of climate change and destruction of the biosphere - specifically in the 1992, 2017 and 2019 World Scientists’ Warnings which were signed by 1,700; 15,000 and 11,000 scientists respectively when issued. Initial episodes of this podcast feature sessions from the Planet in Crisis – Creating Action for COP26 global online summit. In November 2020, exactly one year before the official COP26 climate conference, Scientists Warning Europe organised this series of online Pre-COP events to raise awareness, push the conversation, show demand, and drive real action. Over 25 events were attended by more than 2,000 people from across the globe. View video of these sessions here. This podcast is produced by Scientists Warning Europe. We present and promote science endorsed solutions which will lead to a just transition for our World to a sustainable and equitable future. Our mission is to bring about a great change in humanity’s stewardship of the Earth in order to prevent irretrievable mutilation of our global home.
