0.25  Welcome to the show.

1.40  Special guest; Up Coach team professional, Tony Crossin. Tony is an exceptional business growth expert, former business owner and renowned coach and mentor….

4.55  Using Chris and Tony’s combined years of business experience,      how you can short cut through the business agony? What’s the secret to running a successful business? (Tony agrees, having a great coach is fundamental!)

6.15  Tony expands on his Top 5:

  1. Be really clear about your “why”. What is your purpose?
  2. Are you really good at sales? If not, hire someone who is.
  3. Know (and measure) your numbers.
  4. Be a great leader – not just a great boss.
  5. Be ready for anything and everything. Be prepared to change.

12.20  So how do your optimise your talents across Tony’s Top 5? Are you making a contribution to each of these areas every week? Check-in with yourself. Task yourself with small steps towards improvement and the payoffs will be there in the future.

14.05 Learn from memorable successes, no matter what your perspective. Tony details the case study of a retailer deep in debt, accrued over a decade of poor decisions, errors and business lethargy.

Turning a business around and bringing it back to life is possible with the right guidance! Educate yourself. Find direction. Become accountable.

17.25  Following good business principles is still paramount to success. Practise the Top 5. Outcomes will change and move when you shift your mindset.

18.15  Can you identify the “deadwood” in your business? Do you need to restructure your team so you employ only the people who really want to contribute? Diversify into new markets… target a new customer profile…      whatever it takes to deliver a profit. Stick with it. A significant change is coming because you’ll understand what the key metrics are to run your business successfully.

20.05  Less stress, less anxiety and more time to enjoy life outside of the business. Isn’t that what it’s really all about?

20.25  Morning routines are powerful. How do you motivate and prepare yourself for your day? Tony commits three hours of his day, to “me time”. How does he do it? Schedule an “arrangement” with yourself so you get the best from yourself every day.

Sleep, hydration and exercise should feature heavily, early in your day, every day. Consider a fasting schedule twice a week. Rituals are important. Focus creates change!
