There was a lot of excitement when Morgan James Publishing was founded in 2003. The business was driven by a passion to empower authors and offer them more flexibility and speed to market. He knew that he wanted to provide a personalized experience with a traditional feel, but also allow authors to retain ownership and control over their intellectual property.
Many authors start feeling frustrated and discouraged by the lack of collaboration from publishers. Despite their efforts to build strong author-publisher relationships, they just seem to get nowhere. Unfortunately, they aren't alone. That is what lead to the founding principles at Morgan James Publishing.
