The One Thing That's Needful

In Part 3 of If You Don’t Have It, You Don’t Need It, Dr. Siohvaughn Funches Dunnom reminds you of the promise in Philippians 4:19 — that God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Even when circumstances or expert opinions say otherwise, God’s Word has the final authority. The call from Jesus remains the same: only believe. You are encouraged to look beyond what you see in the natural. Through the example of Hannah in 1 Samuel, you are reminded that situations may appear barren or impossible, but the size of the challenge does not change the...

The One Thing That's Needful

In Part 2 of this faith-building series, Dr. Siohvaughn Funches-Dunnom continues unpacking the powerful promise of Philippians 4:19 — “My God shall supply all your needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” This episode dives deeper into the spiritual battle between faith and logic. While God created us with reasoning and intelligence, He calls believers to walk by faith — not by sight. When challenges arise, especially those that appear “impossible” in the natural, the enemy tempts us to search for natural solutions. But spiritual battles require spiritual answers...

The One Thing That's Needful

In this episode, I bring our God Has Not Changed His Mind series to a close by walking through one powerful truth: God does not change His mind about His promises—no matter the trial, the time, or our mistakes. I anchor this teaching in Numbers 23:19 and reflect on the life of King David, showing how betrayal, persecution, delay, and temptation never altered what God had already spoken over his life. I share how David faced repeated tests on his journey to the throne—tests of character, forgiveness, patience, and the temptation to settle for less than what God promised. We look at how even...

The One Thing That's Needful

In this episode of The One Thing That’s Needful, I continue our series, God Does Not Change His Mind. Together we turn to Numbers 23:19 and the story of David and Goliath to see how God’s promises never fail. David’s victory wasn’t about his strength or weapons, but about keeping his focus on the Lord. I share how remembering God’s past faithfulness helps us face today’s battles with confidence, and why it’s so important to fix our eyes on God instead of circumstances or signs. Facts may change, but God’s Word never changes. Every battle He allows is already a fixed fight, and...

The One Thing That's Needful

In this episode, I continue our powerful series titled "God Has Not Changed His Mind." We go deeper into Numbers 23:19, a foundational verse that reminds us that God is not a man that He should lie, nor the son of man that He should change His mind. If He said it, He will do it. I share what God first shared with me—that His promises still stand, even if it’s been a long time, even if you've faced trials, setbacks, or disappointments. Just like David on his way to the throne, we all go through seasons of waiting and warfare. But the enemy's attacks are meant to change your mind, not God's....

More Episodes

In this episode, I bring our God Has Not Changed His Mind series to a close by walking through one powerful truth: God does not change His mind about His promises—no matter the trial, the time, or our mistakes. I anchor this teaching in Numbers 23:19 and reflect on the life of King David, showing how betrayal, persecution, delay, and temptation never altered what God had already spoken over his life.

I share how David faced repeated tests on his journey to the throne—tests of character, forgiveness, patience, and the temptation to settle for less than what God promised. We look at how even subtle “almost” victories can be traps, and why agreeing fully with God is not pride, but true humility. I also draw a powerful parallel from the life of Jesus, showing how He, too, rejected counterfeit kingship and refused to settle for anything less than the Father’s plan.

Finally, I talk openly about the test of time and the weight of waiting. Using examples from David, Abraham and Sarah, and even my own life, I remind you that delay is not denial. Time does not rule God—He created time. Even when we make mistakes or grow weary, God remains faithful and finishes what He promised. My prayer is that this episode strengthens your faith, restores your hope, and reminds you that God’s word over your life is still standing—unchanged and unstoppable.
