Most people think decision-making is about having enough information. Yet after more than three decades of mentoring people through change, uncertainty, leadership challenges, career transitions, relationships, and life decisions, I have observed something different. Many of our most important decisions are not made through logic alone, nor are they made through intuition alone. They emerge through the relationship between the two. In this Life Mentoring keynote, I explore why logic and intuition are often presented as opposites, why both have strengths and limitations, and how self-awareness...

Why do some people seem to make decisions with clarity while others remain stuck in the same patterns for years? After more than three decades as a Life Mentor, I have come to believe that self-awareness is one of the most important foundations for a meaningful life. When we understand who we are, what we value, and what truly matters to us, our decisions become clearer, our relationships become healthier, and our work becomes more aligned with our purpose. In Part 1 of this keynote-style talk series, I explore why self-awareness changes the way we approach life, leadership, relationships,...

Drawing on recent research into generative AI and creative thinking, we examine a striking tension: AI can improve performance on creative tasks while the diversity of ideas may decrease. What happens when polished answers...

Authentic leadership, self-awareness, personal branding, AI, discernment, and trust. In this episode, I explore why genuine influence cannot be automated and why the qualities people remember most in a leader remain deeply human. We live in a world overflowing with information, content, and opinions. Yet many people feel less connected than ever. I reflect on the difference between information and knowledge, why discernment matters, and how easy it is to lose our own voice when we follow formulas, trends, and shortcuts. Life transitions can unsettle even the strongest among us. When roles change and familiar identities no longer fit, we are invited to ask a deeper question: Who am I now? In this episode, I explore why identity is not fixed, how the BEMA™ Methodology helps us recognise internal shifts, and why self-awareness is essential if we are to grow with life rather than remain attached to outdated versions of ourselves. Yet after more than three decades of mentoring people through change, uncertainty, leadership challenges, career transitions, relationships, and life decisions, I have observed something different. Many of our most important decisions are not made through logic alone, nor are they made through intuition alone.
They emerge through the relationship between the two. In this Life Mentoring keynote, I explore why logic and intuition are often presented as opposites, why both have strengths and limitations, and how self-awareness helps us use them more effectively. Drawing on my experience as an engineer, author, mentor, and creator of Unbox The Real You™ and the BEMA™ Methodology, I share observations about decision-making, trust, fear, intuition, and the role awareness plays in helping us navigate uncertainty.
Whether you are facing a difficult decision, leading others, considering a new direction, or simply interested in understanding yourself more deeply, I hope this conversation offers a useful perspective. The question is not whether you should trust logic or intuition. The question is whether you are paying attention to both.
