YO AHORA
In this episode, I will show you who and where I was when PUA indoctrination began taking real shape in my mind. Okay, so I'm still setting the stage of world building here, but this time it's mostly focused on myself in relation to the PUA industry. Here's some things you can expect from the episde: Sobriety & practicing "cold approach" How Julien Blanc kindly "negged" me into changing my life Feeling depression at 24 lead me to my first sip of alcohol How I started listening to Real Social Dynamics content at age 16-17 My own romantic ideals in my relationships The programs/services...

In this episode, I give an intro to "pickup artistry" from the POV of a rogue anthropologist & observer of the niche. This stuff was a HUGE special interest for me at a really critical time of my life, and so much of my brain was evolving in conjunction with my fascination for PUA. My own relationship to the industry is definitely one of an "original experience" and so I'm keen to share this multiple-part story time! I've been wanting to have some form of a "tell-all" on my experience learning "attraction" from the PUAs (pick up artists) and then later how I started working with...

In this episode, I want to let it out. Look, it's a teensy bit chaotic and explosive at times. I can explain why I do this: 1. I'm a vocal show off lol. I like a chance to engage with the variance... 2. It's also to illustrate how seamless I could weave through those different volumes and paces 3. Nothing else to say, I'm just recognizing that bullet point lists look better in 3's This episode is my processing buffer along the yellow brick road of YO AHORA. In fact, it's the episode when I finally declare the actual name of the podcast, the intention for the episodes, and a rough...

In this episode, I want hiring managers to cancel me. This episode explores every mostly relevant plot point from my entire 20s: The decision to drop out of college by 20 years old The process of working dirty, gritty jobs (and why) The magic of getting my "dream job" (at the time) The evolution into an even "better job" Getting hit by a car at the age of 26 during the peak of my "good life" Finding many of my own "values" shifting in the aftermath of that accident Losing the attachments to my "status" Overcoming the mental trap of being a "hustler" Taking a hiatus to focus on mental and...

In this episode, I want to win. In this episode, I want to win. I actually recorded this one the very next day from the 1st one. I had so much fun recording that first long-format on-the-fly episode, that I just had to once again jump back in the very next day. This episode was also recorded before I ever decided to name my entire podcast project “YO AHORA”. It’s a nod to my bffl Martin from Argentina (“SHO AHORA”) and only after I recorded episodes #1-3 did I ask Martin if i could name my project after this exact term he introduced to me back in 2023. To this he said so warmly and...

In this episode, I want “good” to win. The first ever, super spontaneous recording for the podcast. For context, I’d already been itching to produce some long-form content, and one day back in December ’25, I had an idea to record something for TikTok…… but due to the nature of the NSFW subject matter, it really didn’t feel appropriate for TikTok’s algorithm. So I whipped out my voice memo app on my iPhone 12, and started to freestyle yap for over an hour and 40 mins all about my itty bitty careful thoughts on so many different things. Content...

This episode is my processing buffer along the yellow brick road of YO AHORA. In fact, it's the episode when I finally declare the actual name of the podcast, the intention for the episodes, and a rough timeline for its existence in my life. Quite literally making this up as I go, this project has so far been an outlet for me to be exactly who I am: including in its own conception + execution.
A lot of freestyle, plenty of intuition, vulnerability, willingness, self-amusement, curiosity, etc, etc, etc.
This episode is definitely a good pulse check for gate keeping, because I feel like its probably my sharper ends of self on display. Some personas I typically keep between me and my irl communities, where I can gauge social feedback and unfolding optics.
At this point, I've visualized the YO AHORA of it all like this:
- Episode 1 is a pure freestyle yap with one point of inspo
- Episode 2 was exploring a practical self-reflection too (NYE/EOY thoughts)
- Episode 3 is getting into the practical of Vipassana (+ a lot of lore from my 20s)
- Episode 4 *this one* is an intermission for the podcast to reflect on "itself"
Anyway, you get it.
Moving forward, the following episodes are exploring my years working with the "pickup artists", and then my experience working with Ayahuasca in Peru, and then probably pivot to more advice-based reflections throughout the weeks going into Spring.
I personally associate springtime with a time when love is in the air
So it will be a great time to bring the sprinkle of long-format social dynamics nerd rants into the pod.
