E1: "Company Policy"

The Corporate Coherence Project

Release Date: 01/01/2026

I’m starting this first episode with a short story I wrote as a teenager in the 90s called Company Policy.

What started out as satire turned out to be closer to reality than I ever imagined.

In this episode, I share why I opened with that story, how I saw the ripple effects of unhealthy corporate cultures growing up, and what over two decades inside corporate America have taught me about corporate cultures and the human element.

I talk about:

  • Why “work you” and “home you” aren’t really separate

  • What COVID revealed about the humanity underneath every role

  • The difference between performative “people-first” and actually valuing humans

  • How layoffs are often handled in ways that check boxes but miss humanity

  • What I’ve learned from leaders who manage with fear vs. leaders who lead with trust

  • Why greed and short-term thinking are eroding cultures - and what regenerative leadership looks like instead

  • Why AI makes this conversation more urgent than ever

If this conversation resonates, subscribe to The Corporate Coherence Project - and share it with someone who knows work can (and should) be done differently.
