Closing The 18 Inch Gap Podcast

Last week I was so into the episode that I lost track of time. So today I’m bringing you the last 14 points. I mistakenly thought I had brought 12 points but actually only brought 11.   The word I am exploring is such a simple but powerful one: Why? Like I said last week.  It’s such a simple word. One syllable. Three letters. But inside that word now that we’re all grown up… lives a storm. Today, I’m not here to give you steps, or tips, or strategies. I’m here to ask you questions. Because that’s what good coaches do. They ask real questions. The kind that...

Everyone loves an underdog story, but living one? That is a whole different challenge. The struggle, the doubt, and those nights when giving up feels like the easiest choice. It’s tough, but that’s exactly why it feels so good when you finally prove them wrong. Being the underdog is not a weakness. It is a secret weapon. No one sees you coming. No one expects you to win. And when you do? That victory hits different! Every champion, record-breaker, and history-maker started at the bottom. If you are pushing through setbacks, proving doubters...

He saw opportunities and invested in tobacco and then shipping, among other things he later expanded to and became one of the richest men in the world.

20. Mike Micalowicz- from the top of the world to the bottom of the valley and backup- After selling his company for millions that had just earlier investigated the Enron scandal Mike lost all of his money in a matter of one year. He has since proceeded to not only recover, he has written 11 books and continues to write and has several extremely successful companies he now profitably leads.

If these stories prove anything, it’s that rejection isn’t the end—it’s the invitation. Hardship isn’t defeat—it’s the training ground. And when the world says no, you still get to say yes.
